He figured out an ingenious way to hoist the heavy door to the second floor, and very skillfully and quickly adjusted the frame to fit the door, and affixed the heavy-duty hinges. And for the first-floor door, he figured out a way to repair the existing frame (rather than replace it), thereby saving me hundreds of dollars. All the work was done to a very high standard by a skilled professional who worked quickly and efficiently. And the price-tag for all this was remarkably low -- only a third the price I'd been quoted by another local handyman firm. "Everything was perfect. I’m very pleased and impressed with Dave’s responsiveness, professionalism and ability. Some stubborn parts on our old tub and shower were tricky, but he persevered and made everything work wonderfully well. He hung a large framed painting that had been leaning against the fireplace for ages (this required a pro to hang correctly) and it looks outstanding. It’s centered just right and is secure. Lastly, he installed a new faucet in another bathroom and that looks gorgeous also. Dave does it all and I will definitely hire him again for other home improvements and repairs. "I hired Plymouth Nursery after speaking with several neighbors who recommended this company. I met with John the owner and found him to be very knowledgeable and very professional. I moved into my home in November of 2020 and discovered that when it rained there was a tremendous amount of water that would build up in front of my front t door. John offered several solutions and I elected to address the drainage issue with a French drain solution around the front and side of the house . In addition Plymouth Nursery installed a flag stone porch and walk way with Belgium blocks as a border. Lighting was included in the package as well as new shrubs and plants. The team that worked on my property were very courteous and professional. John checked on the status of his team every day and kept me well informed. The end product exceeded my expectations and my family is very pleased with the final product. I found John to be honest and true to his word. I am very satisfied with Plymouth Nursery and would hire them again in a second . It is difficult to find a reliable contractor who provides detailed scope of work with itemized costs. John was great to work with and his team members cleaned the site every day. I had 3 quotes and Plymouth Nursery was the only contractor who provided an itemized scope of work and a company who I felt comfortable dealing with."

"I hired D Design Woodworking to build a floor mirror utilizing an antique mirror from an English armoire. We discussed the design, the type of wood (maple) to be used and the stain color. I received the mirror yesterday and I couldnâ t be happier. The mirror looks great in the frame and Iâ m extremely impressed with the workmanship. The mirror is very substantial and the stain matches our new bedroom furniture perfectly. I cannot recommend D Design more highly."

"Everything was explained by the sales rep but wow it was a hard sell.  I had read other reviews and was ready for it but they were very persistance.  In the end I went with them as I thought the drawers were thicker than the competition but later on found out it was an option and I was a little mislead.  I had to wait a while for installation (about a momnth) and the installers were very polite and clean.  Unfortunately they added the extra filler on the wrong side so the drawers hit ,y door jam when pulled out all the way.  Getting Closets By Design to agree to come out to fix it was very difficult and in the end it was faster buying a $200 saw and fixing it ourselves.  A little disappointed in their lack of follow through.  Since then I have found a great carpenter in Lancaster who does all wood, custom for about half the price.  I have been using him for my subsequent and much larger projects and I have been much happier.
