"Collins Paving did a new asphalt driveway June 2022 for $15,000. The install it was a major headache. Jerry complained entire time- about me, my driveway, the job, even his crew's work ethic. That fall of 2022 the driveway developed ponding in three large areas. I left emails, phone messages and never got a response. On May 5, 2023, I contacted them to seal the driveway (per their instructions at install). They responded right away. When they came out to seal, July 16, 2023, I explained the problem and was told to 'call the office'. I called weekly for 2 months. Finally, on September 9 Jerry and Steve came over and were quite confrontational with me. It was very uncomfortable, but I bit my tongue because I wanted it addressed. In the end, they both acknowledged the issues and recommended I have them address it in the spring and give 'one more winter'. I started calling & emailing in late March 2024. I finally got an appt in August. I waited all day until 4pm, made several calls the 'office' (no one answered). When I called the following week to inquire about my appt., Shauna said that Jerry and Steve came over and no one was home. Not true. Since then, I've called again and again and it's the same response from Shauna. "I'll let them know'. When i ask when I can expect a follow up, I'm told, 'I'm not sure, they are on other jobs'. I've kept track of how many times I've called and its over 30 times. They have no interest in talking to me. Shauna answers the phone and takes another message. At this point, less that 3 years after install, my driveway is sinking, cracks are forming, and I am forced to get resolution through 3rd parties. All I wanted was help figuring this out and I was hoping we could work this out together but I’m being ignored. I would avoid Collins Paving. There is so much more I could share."

"The crew worked on our driveway in late July, early August. We’re very dissatisfied on how the job turned out. They cut out the bad section on 30 July and filled it with some sort of gravelly cold patch. The crew came back about a week later and sealed the driveway Problems: They DID NOT seal the gravelly patch area.........actually, they did seal a small portion of it, but that portion cracked within a few days Leads me to believe sealing any of it was a mistake as they must have KNOWN any part of the patch sealed would crack, but, of course, that leaves the driveway unfinished Highly related problem: The patch still has not totally dried, I can still push in on it with my thumb - and the situation is not getting better Hard to see how this job to be anything but a failure - ie, a waste of $3,600 Sign Grace Betts"

"Originally rated 5 stars, but revised downward to 1 star after company's failure to respond to multiple requests for payment and a copy of our final invoice. Portion of email sent to owner on 10/23/25 follows- "I am relieved that our difficulties with your company occurred after the completion of our driveway paving project on 8/20/25. Your crew did an outstanding job and we continue to praise them and their fine work. Sadly, it is the failure of your company to honor the promises that Joe made on 8/21/25, 8/22/25, 10/2/25 & 10/17/25 to send us a $100 check for work not completed and email or mail us a copy of our final bill that has caused us to reconsider our high praise. I'm glad that business is going so well for your company that you can operate with a business model that does not put a premium on customer satisfaction. I should have believed all the negative reviews that I read online that targeted your company?s frequent failure to respond to customers." "
