"Outstanding workmanship! They rebuilt our chimney, and it’s better than new. The team was professional, friendly, and honest about what needed to be done. Highly recommend!"
"Tom and his team are great, they were professional, polite and neat. After the work was completed they cleaned up, now it looks like I have a new chimney. I would definitely recommend T&T Sweeps."
"I recently hired Clark Chimney and Masonry for a chimney cap and liner replacement and I'm extremely satisfied with their service. The team was prompt, professional, and efficient. They took great care in ensuring a clean work environment and thoroughly explained the process. The pricing was fair, and I appreciated their friendly customer service. I highly recommend [Chimney Service Company] for anyone in need of reliable and top-notch chimney services!"
"Fireplace was fine (OPPOSITE of what I had been told by another chimney sweep). Oil burner side ...not so good. Flue was heavily cracked and deteriorated. Entire flue pieces laying at base. Since this could be a carbon monoxide hazard and I quite often have small children in the house, I didn't think it was anything I should let go unresolved (although I was NOT anticipating spending a couple of thousand dollars at the time). Bottom line: New stainless steel liner put in. Liner secured and resealed top and bottom. New cap installed - and cracked top cement crown on chimney was replaced with a rubberized product. Warranty on liner is transferable with the house when/if sold. While I was not thrilled about hitting my emergency fund for something that you can't SEE, obviously it was important to get it done. I was eligible for a Senior discount (am I the only one THRILLED to be older when a Senior discount is offered)? You hit a certain age ... every penny saved helps. Jon Paul was wonderful. Not a pushy sales person. Straight and to the point. Explained everything in detail. Personable. My 4 year old great niece was with me for an overnight visit and she immediately took to him. (Pay attention to the little ones ~ they're very good judges of character). I will recommend them at every opportunity and call them again if the need arises. Five Stars from me!!!"
"They did a great job. They solved all the problems I had with the chimney and it’s been working perfectly ever since. They also fixed a problem on the roof around the chimney; they replaced the wood around the chimney with a material that would never rot, so they fixed it even better than it was before. It took them a couple of days to do the work. They took care of all the cleanup as well. We've been real happy with them."
"The technicians arrived on time and did not damage the roof or anything else. They found a birds nest in one of the gutters and removed it. I never would have known it was there. I’d hire them again."
"This company was very prompt with the estimate. The workers came and completed the job when they said they would and did an amazing job. We will definitely use them for any roofing issues in the future. Prices were slightly lower then most, but the quality of work performed was fantastic. I highly recommend! "
"They really did an exceptional job. The deck rebuild was a complicated job. The deck wasn’t built correctly originally so CM Contracting had to extensively modify the structure. They really did a great job. The deck looks really great, and I think I now have the strongest deck in the Lehigh Valley. The chimney work was a big concern of mine going into the job. The previous owner of the house let the chimney cap rust, and the rust stains ran down the Dryvit. It really looked bad. Chris worked with his paint supplier to get the color to match perfectly. He had Sherwin Williams out to my house on several occasions because Chris wanted it done right. It far exceeded my expectations, and now looks perfect. The caulking and power washing all went well too. I would highly recommend CM Contracting. Chris is very responsive. We would communicate often via phone or txt. His crew is great too. Very polite and friendly."
Yes, professionals can often retrofit models with minimal disruption.
Most residential range hoods have a CFM between 200 and 600. A higher CFM means your range hood is better at removing smoke and odors from your kitchen. The measurement ultimately depends on your stove’s width and heat output as well as the size of your kitchen.
Compared to the average size of a stove and kitchen, 350 CFM would be the minimum recommended rating for the average kitchen. However, selecting a higher CFM range hood would guarantee better ventilation to match your cooking habits, whether they’re minimal or extensive.
If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.
Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.
