On delivery day I learned that the stove, dishwasher and a blower underneath the stove were hardwired. GEN3 sends one of their awesome techs, George, to come out and give an estimate. "I chatted with someone on their website, to see what the cost would be. The guy took down all of my info and said someone would get in touch with me. I decided to just give them a call myself. The lady who answered said she didn't have any access to the pricing information. She said it would cost $60 for someone to come to my home and give me an estimate and that I would have three options to choose from - "Good, Better and Best", I would choose one of the options and it would then be installed on the spot. I asked her what happens if I decide to not use them, she stated that I would then just pay the $60 fee and we would part ways. That makes absolutely NO sense to me. I'm sure I can find another company that will be willing to at least give me a ballpark number for a service like this over the phone."

After sizing our heating requirements, Unique presented us with several packages, of differing efficiency, that included boilers smaller than the old one, but ones that would meet our heating needs. This was in contrast to other companies that wanted to replace our old boiler with one of similar size, not taking into account that the old one was oversized to begin with. The Unique package we chose included outdoor reset, and air elimination, items that may have increased upfront costs, but ones that will probably offer savings, convenience, and increased comfort in the long run.
