Jahnke is very proud to be a Trane Comfort Specialist Dealer, which means our technicians are factory trained professionals and we are held to a higher standard of customer service and satisfaction than other dealers. "In 2021 they replaced the main pan and said the new pump that was installed would take care of the water and the drain that was on the pan would not be necessary so they disconnected it. When they came out on Saturday before the 4th of July Hunter said the secondary pan had filled up because the 4x4 that the machine was sitting on had tipped so the top pan had tilted and water went into the second pan which didn't have a drain destroying the ceiling again. Hunter also said he straightened the 4x4 and cleaned the second pan and looked at the old disconnected drain. He suggested we have someone come instal a new drain and strap the machine to the 4x4. He said the pump should work until I had those things done. I came home late Sunday to a hugh puddle of water and a bigger wet spot on the ceiling. Now my ceiling has twice as much to be repaired and also the floor is probably ruined! My homeowners insurance is hopefully going to pay for the damage but I have to pay a $1000 deductible besides the $290 I paid on the 2nd. I will never use them again and would not recommend them either!"

Andrew Korte Heating and Air Conditioning LLC has been serving the Rogue Valley since 2006. We specialize in repair, maintenance and replacement of all types of heating and air conditioning systems including ductless wall mounted units. Additional DBA - Andrew Korte Heating & Air Conditioning LLC.

"I called Korte at 10.00 a.m. and Andrew called back at 3 p.m. He came and had a look at what kind of equipment was needed and next morning , showed up with his workers and replaced the old furnace, and the next day the heat pump was in. They cleaned up wherever it was needed and were very good workers. I would recommend Korte Heating and A/C to anyone who asks. This was such a good experience, all round. The workers are good and kind , no cussing and yelling, and Andrew is very on top of things."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Almost all new buildings in California need an earthquake shut-off valve. The requirements for an earthquake gas shut-off valve (and who can install it) depend on where you live. For example, according to the Los Angeles Municipal Code, you’re required to hire a licensed contractor to install one whenever you build, sell, or renovate a home. Check with your local building department for your city’s laws on installing, permitting, and inspecting earthquake shut-off valves.

No, you shouldn't cap a gas pipe with a compression fitting because they aren't designed for gas lines and can pose serious safety risks. Gas pipes require threaded caps that create a secure, leak-proof seal capable of handling gas pressure. Using a compression fitting could lead to dangerous gas leaks—a hazard you definitely want to avoid.

Any gas pipe can leak, especially if it’s old or isn’t properly maintained. However, even with a shovel, plastic pipes are more easily damaged by impact. That’s why it’s so important to have gas lines marked by the utility company before you begin digging for any reason. Some metal pipes, like black pipes, galvanized steel, and copper, aren’t as easily damaged by impact but can degrade over the years, leading to leaks.

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.

Having the right size pipe ensures proper drainage and helps protect against clogs and other plumbing problems. A pipe that's too small will take longer to drain, which can result in backups. And solids can build up in pipes that are too large. Choosing a pipe with the appropriate volume also means it will be able to handle water pressure, which is the force behind the water.
