"My conventional gas water heater died on me and the home warranty would take at least a week to show up to take a look. With that much time to complete the job, I decided to make the jump to a tankless water heater. I ordered one from one of the two major DIY chains, but it was going to take a full week to arrive because one non-critical accessory was out of stock. But what really floored me was the cost of the whole job if I used their affiliated installer. So hunting around, Covenant Plumbing was fast to reply. We talked over the phone and they recommended a larger model with better controls -- which I accepted. When they heard that I had no hot water in the house, I was told they could do some rescheduling and get it installed the next day. Not being that desperate I told them to drop by the next day for a look at the job, and that they could do the install the day following. A couple of bottom lines here: -- Covenant's price for the entire job was $1,100 less than JUST the installation costs from the big DIY's affiliate. -- The entire package was about 1/2 the cost, if you add in the price of the higher capacity and better featured model that was installed."

Small jobs welcome

"Had a unique and difficult plumbing renovation of new master bathroom. It was a pleasure to work with this company. They appeared to go the extra mile to insure complete customer satisfaction. We would be happy to run into more workmen like them and would like to thank them for the help they gave us. In fact,"

"He charges by the hour rather than bid, but his guess of the time and material cost was very close.  He and his helper are hard working, friendly, accommodating,  and cleaned up the site after the work was finished.  I would use him again for future handyman projects.

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

The most significant benefit of having a gas grill over a propane grill is that you never run out of fuel unless there’s an outage in your area, which is rare. Unlike with a propane grill, you’ll never need to haul tanks back and forth to a local fill station, and you’ll never find yourself unable to use your grill because you forgot to refill your tanks. Gas grills also burn slightly cleaner than propane grills, and natural gas costs significantly less than propane, meaning it’s more affordable to run your grill.

Safety steps include proper vent installation, connector tightness, and leak testing. A safe environment must be maintained throughout.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. The exact lifespan depends on several factors, including the brand and quality of the grill, frequency of use, and whether the gas line is buried or above ground. With proper maintenance and care, such as regular deep cleanings to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits, a grill's life can be extended. Protecting the grill from the elements with a cover can also prevent rust and reduce the need for repairs. Most grill manufacturers also offer extended warranties, which vary in coverage and terms.

Yes, professional services typically include venting, gas line installation, and necessary permits.
