"The pro that came out was very professional and friendly. He did extensive testing to figure out the electrical problem we were having. He changed out three light fixtures with new ones and it has solved the problem. I would definitely use this company again for any future issues."

"I contacted Tom and he returned my call promptly. He said he was 5 minutes away and would be right by to give me an estimate on the work. He arrival on time and gave me the estimate. He said he could do the job right there and then. He had the supplies that needed to be replaced on his truck. He did the work and was completed in less than an hour. He has a great customer service and I will call him when I need any electrical work done. My dogs loved h and he had dog treats in his pocket for them."

"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

You can use a double-pole switch for a regular light fixture, but it's unnecessary and won’t be the most efficient choice. A single-pole switch works perfectly for standard lights. Double-pole handle high-power appliances that require both hot wires to be disconnected. Using a single-pole switch for regular lights is more cost-effective, simpler, and more common in residential settings.

A blinking, or twinkle, bulb makes Christmas lights blink. Usually, this type of bulb has a silver or red tip, making it easily distinguishable from other non-blinking bulbs. Most packages of Christmas lights come with additional blinking and non-blinking bulbs. Additional bulbs can be purchased at a hardware store or online retailer.

Type S or T fuses don’t require any special removal or installation tools. However, replacing a cartridge-style fuse is easier and safer when using a fuse-puller tool. All of these tools should be available anywhere you can buy fuses.

Be careful not to drop your voltmeter or multimeter. Even a small fall can affect the tool’s ability to measure with accuracy. Always store your tools in their cases in a cool, dark place. Also, avoid touching the probes to each other while they’re connected to a circuit or another electrical component, and never tamper with anything inside the device.

You can tell if a breaker is GFCI by looking for a red or yellow test and reset button that you can press in and out. You’ll know if an outlet is GFCI if the red reset button is located in between the two pronged sections.
