Customers say: Quality work

"Shane returned my call within 30 minutes, immediately came out, diagnosed the problem with an 18 year old microwave. went to his truck for a replacement fuse, and everything works like new. Now that is a true professional who will get any future appliance business in addition to any referrals I can send his way. I'm very satisfied. Ron B. Central Point"

"Excellent!  I can't say enough good things about Thomas and Dave.  My appointment time was between 8-9am, Thomas and Dave arrived promptly at 8am, after introducing themselves recapping the problems I was having they went right to work. They were very professional yet friendly and worked efficiently and quickly.  I was impressed at their thoroughness.  Before coming in the house they even put on the blue "booties" to keep the floors clean.
They fixed my multiple electrical issues, they installed a new ring doorbell for me that allows you to see and talk to anyone at your door whether you are home or not.  I also had them give me quotes for other electrical projects.
I will use them for all my future electrical needs and will refer them to everyone I know.
Thank you Thomas, Dave and Double J Electric.

"I was contacted by a Tech at the assigned time and had to run to the store for a cable I needed. When I called back, I had a different Tech, but he was able to continue right where I had left off. There was no need to explain anything again. Awesome."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

No, outdoor outlets are not required to be on a separate circuit. However, you should always defer to local electrical codes when making decisions about how to install your new outlet. An experienced local electrician will be able to inform you of all codes and requirements in place at your home.

Yes, electric-start snow blowers need to be plugged in to start, but you can unplug them and go once they’re up and running. Simply plug the snow blower into an outdoor outlet and press the start button. Once it starts, you can unplug it and use it freely. The idea for these types of snow blowers is to simplify the starting process from the typical pull-string starts.

The most common gauge for indoor outlets around your home is 12- and 14-gauge wires. But if you’re working with larger appliances like ovens, washing machines, or dryers (all of which require more amplitude), you might find 10-, eight-, or six-gauge wires to help support those hefty appliances.

A sump pump can be plugged into a regular, 110-volt outlet with three-prong openings, but it must have GFCI protections per the NEC, meaning you’ll need a GFCI outlet and circuit. Sump pumps require two outlet openings, one for the plug to the motor and one for the float switch.

Yes, blue wires can be hot wires in the U.S. However, they are less common in residential properties than red and black hot wires. Blue wires are typically used as traveler wires in three-way and four-way switches, as well as ceiling fans. They allow fixtures to be controlled by multiple switches, like when there are switches at the top and bottom of a staircase for the same light.
