"The guys at NW Weatherization did an excellent job installing additional insulation in my attic and crawlspace. They also reattached the exhaust fan boot. I can tell that the added insulation is helping keep my home warmer since the furnace doesn't come on as often and run as long. Thank you Ryan and everyone at NW Weatherization!"

"JR Insulation is a great company!! They did everything from start to finish as promised, on time, polite, clean, and on budget. I can't recommend them enough. They also fixed a problem that I created in my own ignorance for free just to make me even happier. I told them it wasn't necessary but they insisted. JR's pricing was the absolute best for everything they did. Not the lowest bid but the lowest price to value, which in my opinion is the lowest bid. I would use they again, in fact, I would not use any other company for insulation or dry wall. Brian"

"Westside Drywall was the only firm willing to do what I requested, which was to repair and not replace under-floor insulation. As a result, their price was much lower. An added bonus was that they could schedule the job in a few days instead of a few weeks or months."

"Charles came out to do the bid. I had questions later but he didn't respond. Twice, after letting them know I hired a different siding installer, the company asked me if I had any questions. I think they don't have good communication within the office."

"Ezra called and came by the same day I requested service. Ezra pointed out what needed to be done and said they would be back in a week. Jeff showed up on the specified day and went to work. He did a very professional job and cleaned everything up. He even swept the concrete pad in front of the shed. I will definitely use them again."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on window size, type, material, and labor. Custom shapes or sizes typically incur higher expenses; full installation includes removing old windows.

Yes, egress windows can significantly add value to a home. By making basement and attic areas safer and more livable, they allow you to market these spaces as finished living areas, which increases your property's value. Many homeowners can recover the full installation cost, with some sources citing a return on investment of around 70%. The exact value added depends on your specific home, location, and adherence to local building codes. Beyond financial value, egress windows enhance functionality by adding natural light and comfort. They are also a crucial safety feature, often mandated by building codes to serve as an emergency exit.

Yes, egress windows are grandfathered. However, this comes with some specifications. If you are remodeling a basement or adding a sleeping area, you’ll need to update the egress windows to be up to proper code. But, if you’re leaving your home as is, you do not have to adhere to these requirements.

Yes, you can install a bay window in an existing house. You’ll need to have a structural engineer draw up plans to add the necessary support to your exterior load-bearing walls and a general contractor to make the changes to the framing around the new wall opening. This will cost an average of $3,000. After that work is done, a window installer can set the new bay window in place.

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.
