The solution to a very deteriorated cast iron pipe connect was an elegant PVC bi-pass in basement with an easily accessible cleanout under the sink (I'll probably not need the cleanout but nice touch for down the road). The work was completed same day within reasonable time. Charges reflected the materials and quality of work. It ended up being less than I expected.
