After days and days of texts to say they were coming to do these things, and then not showing up, they have just stopped all communication. The contact gives a 2 year guarantee on workmanship. Can I trust them? I don't know."

You can paint over wallpaper if it’s smooth and in good shape. But if there are bumps or tears in the wallpaper, they’ll likely show through the paint. Similarly, you should avoid painting over textured wallpaper because the ridges and patterns in the paper will be visible. In either of these situations, you should remove the wallpaper before painting.
