Since college, Iraj Ashabi,"The Madman with a Brush" has spent most of his professional life working in the designer clothing and furniture industry. He spent two decades as a clothing consultant to the power elite of Los Angeles and Seattle and spent most of 2007 in in New Zealand checking out the blossoming fashion design industry there but ultimately reassessing life and deciding that Bainbridge Island truly is home . Not long after his return Iraj decided that he'd spent more time away from the Island than on it and that he'd had just about enough of commuting and the world on "the other side of the water." He knew his designer’s eye and his appreciation of high quality craftsmanship were gifts easily transferred to his real passion— building, remodeling, and, his signature-- fine finish painting. During the past several years such projects became his full time hobby. He chose to trade his designer clothes for jeans and a sweatshirt and bring 20 years of customer service experience to an industry that could really use it. Thus began Bainbridge Island Paint & Design. Iraj's visual acumen and regard for aesthetics has played a key role in the success of this venture. In addition to forming a network of the finest building professionals, landscapers, tile workers, and wood craftsmen in Kitsap County, he stays true to his belief that in order to achieve success for any client, one must first take the time to listen. We are interested in all opportunities from the smallest paint job to the largest addition. We do color consulting,home remodeling, and have a garage, storage and workshop design specialization. We create work/storage spaces to harmonize with your home and landscape.Interior painting (small jobs to large office complexes),cabinet and furniture painting,pressure washing and gutter cleaning. We do tile and laminate (Pergo etc.) and hardwood floor installation. Small to LARGE remodeling

Work is good, but pricing is ridiculous, everything is extra so be careful. Labor pricing is very subjective, demo was included in bid, but then demo deemed "extra" was charged in the first day at $1400.00. Bid to do an exterior wall, but then if you want the exterior caulked it's an additional $350.00. We added a room to be floored during the remodel, 157 sq ft, of snap together flooring, $2057. (labor only, 2 guys, less than a day), we had to purchase the flooring. Bottom line is roughly $60,000. bid turned into around $100,000. at completion. Would not use this company again and would not recommend.

Does decent work, but also starts a "two week" job (his words) and doesn't finish it for 4-6 months. You will have to chase him repeatedly to get the job done. His team does a fair amount of incidental damage too. Damaged finish on floors. Left us to re-install electrical fixtures and other things removed from walls. Leaves clean up from every step to the home owner, lots of blue tape and cardboard to remove. Also locked me out of my house. Super expensive. But I guess it kinda looks ok when he's done.
