"We contacted David with Gold Tooth to cut down a large way overgrown Hemlock tree. We also had a tall (very dead) Cedar tree that was in a very precarious location because of it's proximity to 3 other houses, ours and 2 of our neighbors, we also had his crew take down a tall and overgrown Laurel hedge. We went with Gold Tooth out of the 3 bids we had received not only because they were very competitively priced, mainly because of David's confidence in taking on this project! We had had other contractor's pass on this job or give such an exorbitant quote because of the difficulty and dangerous nature of cutting down the Cedar tree. They were finished in 1 day, cleaned up professionally and did a superb job, far exceeding our expectations! We are very pleased with the results and we love having our backyard back and no longer have to worry about that dead Cedar tree falling over in a wind storm."

The 4-person crew was very professional, kind, and respectful of the property. The large oak I had removed was right up against a new fence, and not far from the side of my house. And, it was not in an area to get a bucket truck nearby. They arrived right on time at the start of the day and worked hard with minimal breaks - very impressive. They ground the stump from the large oak as well as grinding a couple of leftover stumps from previously removed holly trees. Their cleanup was superb! They even blew stuff off the top of my roof! And the wood cut down was nicely rolled together - not just dumped into a large messy clump! And, they were cheaper than another bid I got from a company here on Angie. I cannot recommend them high enough."

Tom Burke, the owner of Tree Masters, did an apprenticeship program with a very prestigious tree service in Marin County California where he grew up. He was apprenticed in correct pruning and shaping procedure, standard arboriculture techniques for general tree trimming and hazardous tree removal jobs around houses, structures and wires. He and his crews are professional at any tree related job they take on and are very meticulous about cleaning up the surrounding landscape following a large job. A quality job, well done is our number one priority. Tom moved to Portland in 1984. He chose this location to raise his family and establish his tree business. When we scheduled and his team came out, they walked through everything with me again, made sure everything was trimmed safely away from our roof and even helped pull some extra branches from our side that were hanging into our neighbors. Their quote was fair for a TON of work removing deadwood and branches on at least 8 trees in our yard, and we will continue to use them for all of our future tree needs."
