A & B Septic Service

Kayla in the office was amazing. She tried to get us in as fast as possible. Jose was a pro when he showed up. He gave us all our options for repairs needed and let us know we still had a plug in the system. This company is amazing and I have recommended them to everyone I know that has a septic tank

I've used this company twice - May 2017, and Sept 2022. I would not recommend using this company to repair your septic system unless either they installed it or you are very familiar with your own system. May 2017, high-level alarm on sand filter. Cause - burned out effluent pump. They replaced the pump and the next day I got another high-level alarm. When I disconnected the pump discharge to the drain field, I very abruptly discovered that the pump discharge was very pressurized! I called a competing septic company, and they came out and found that I had broken pipes and clogged laterals to/in my drain field. The clogged pump discharge was the reason the first pump burned out and would have caused the replacement pump to burn out if it had not been repaired. In Sept 2022, I had a septic tank high level alarm. The cause was bad wiring splices between the floats and the pump controller. I told them to replace the bottom two floats because I knew they were getting old. They replaced the two floats and the system still did not operate correctly. After a two-hour conference call with their home office and "experts" they came to the conclusion that either my pump controller was bad, or the underground wiring to the septic tank was bad. Cost of repairs $500-$1,500. I got a multimeter from my garage and tested the two floats they had replaced and discovered they had installed normally closed circuit floats in my system that required normally open circuit floats. They replaced the NC floats with NO floats and the system operated normally. If I had not been present and knowledgeable of my own septic system, in both cases I could have paid $500-$1,500 in unneeded repairs. A&B is probably good at installing and servicing their own septic systems, but if you want them to repair a system they did not install, I would recommend that you do your homework! To their credit, they did only bill me for the 1 hour that it should have taken to replace the floats vice the 3 hours they were actually here

A AFFORDABLE SEPTIC SERVICE LLC

We sold our home and a septic inspection was needed. A Affordable did both the inspection and some minor follow up service that was needed. In both cases they actually arrived earlier than scheduled (having called for permission each time), and their service was first rate. After the repairs we discovered that their probing into the ground had punctured one of our underground sprinkler pipes, which they promptly fixed. Their communications are excellent. I highly recommend this service

SPEEDY SEPTIC

When the crew understood how concerned I was about the entire condition of the septic system, they took the time to explain to me every detail of what needed to be done, what they were doing at the time, and how the system would work with the pump when the project was completed. Every crew member was professional, courteous and skilled at what looked to me to be a complicated (and icky) job. I received multiple phone calls to ensure I knew when they were coming and what was to be done. There were no surprises for me, and I can flush with confidence thanks to them knowing that my brand new tank and pump are installed 100% correctly. (It easily passed county inspection.) This was an excellent experience, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat

He determined there is a snag on the pipe, possibly cracked pipe a few feet from the septic tank. He showed me how the snake would catch on something in a certain spot. He was the 7th septic service person I have had in the last 4 years and the first one to determine the problem so it can be fixed permanently. I felt he was honest and forthcoming

He was very polite and the whole service went fast. He had the right equipment to snake the hose from the front of our home to the back as it is not easy maneuvering through our back yard.

CARL'S SEPTIC TANK CLEANING
5.0
They are good. He came promptly and he was nice. He found the septic tank which everybody said they knew where it was, but nobody did really. He came and got it done in winter. I went and stood there when he emptied the whole thing out. He came when I needed it. Everything was good and everything was fine. He gave me a few pointers. Usually people scare you about those septic systems. But he was calm amidst the storm because everybody was going crazy about septic systems

Answer: There are several signs that indicate your septic tank could be full. These include standing water over your septic tank, a strong odor coming from your yard, gurgling water, slow drains, or a sewage backup. While many of these signs could also be indicative of a clogged system, they should all be checked out by a professional ASAP to avoid costly damages. In the absence of any of these signs, it’s recommended that septic tanks be emptied every 3 to 5 years on average.
How often should a septic tank be serviced?
Answer: On average, septic tanks should be serviced every 3 to 5 years in the absence of any worrying signs that the tank is clogged or full. The size of your septic tank, the number of people living in your home, and your average water usage will all impact how often your septic tank needs to be serviced.
What are the most common causes of septic tank failure?
Answer: The most common cause of septic tank failure is improper maintenance. Failing to pump a septic tank on the appropriate schedule will cause septic tank failure and likely result in a costly septic tank repair or replacement. On average, septic tanks should be pumped every 3 to 5 years, but the size of your tank, the number of people in your home, and your average water usage may shorten or extend this timeframe.
How much does it cost to pump a septic tank?
Answer: The cost to pump a septic tank is $400 on average or about $0.30 per gallon. The size of your septic tank, as well as local labor costs, will impact the cost of pumping your septic tank. Most septic tanks are between 600 and 2,000 gallons in size, meaning the average cost range is between $180 to $600.
How much does it cost to install a septic system?
Answer: The cost to install a septic tank system is between $3,060 and $9,810, on average. The size of the septic tank you choose, the land you’re installing it on, the type of system you choose, and local labor costs will all influence the total cost of installing a septic system. Anaerobic septic tanks (those that don’t need oxygen) typically cost between $3,000 and $8,000. Aerobic systems, which utilize oxygen to activate bacteria and are popular on smaller properties, usually cost between $10,000 and $20,000.
How long does a septic system last?
Answer: When septic systems are well maintained, they can last up to 30 years or more. If a septic system isn’t properly maintained, such as when it isn’t pumped regularly, it may malfunction and require costly repairs or a premature replacement. In general, septic tank pumping is recommended every 3 to 5 years to ensure the septic system lasts as long as possible.
