A Cut Above ExteriorsA Cut Above Exteriors were incredibly easy to work with and exceeded expectations. Every step of the process was explained thoroughly so we knew what to expect and when. Bill did a great job working with us to put our quote together, including everything we asked for, explaining why would should cut out or add certain details, and explained how the actual work would happen. Sam was an amazing project manager. During our initial walk-around he went over every aspect of the project to make sure we were all on the same page. Nick and Ruslan did amazing work in getting the old siding off and new siding on. They dealt very well with a couple surprises once the house was open and showed us the damage, discussed the fix, and called us outside again to see the finished fix before installing the siding over it. The electrical, plumbing, and painters that they use were also amazing. We had our final walk-around the other day and Sam made that easy as well. Our house is beautiful, we know the bones of the house are safe, and we would recommend A Cut Above Exteriors to anyone who needs work done.- Letitia C.

Lifetime Windows & DoorsThis was a large project replacing all the windows in our house and one sliding glass door. Workers came on time daily, asked our opinion throughout the process, and kept the area clean, even during some rainy weather. We had some complicated trim issues which they came up with some great ideas and solutions. I could not be pleased more with the work by Matt and Kai. I would recommend without reservation.- Mark M.
-
Lifetime Windows & DoorsIt went great. Matt, Kair and Kolby did a great job. They communicated the plan and timeframe, did a beautiful job in fitting the doors, left everything clean and tidy and thoroughly explained how to use the new hardware.- MARJORIE W.

Lo's Contracting, Inc.Excellent service from start to finish. Amadou, the owner, gave us a bid for roofing and siding work that was hard to accurately estimate because the extent of the water damage could not be seen until the siding was removed. Amadou was very upfront about revising the bid once the extent of the damage could be determined. We thought the initial estimate was very fair and the additional cost was also very reasonable. The side garage door replacement work was also reasonably priced and the work was great. Amadou’s communication throughout the project was excellent and his workers were very friendly and professional. Lo’s does great work at affordable prices and are honest and dependable. We will definitely hire them again.- Jeremy D.

PJs Handyman ServiceThe work went very well. We appreciated Phillip's diagnostic skills. He also suggested the most cost effective repairs to address our concerns.- TIM W.

R3J Residential ServicesWe are thrilled with our new bathroom! And especially happy with Ron, all the work he did, his subcontractors, his timeline, was spot on and he communicated clearly with us every step of the way. We changed our mind about a few things during the project and Ron was patient and happy to accommodate our revisions. We were given a schedule at the get go and Ron followed it exactly. He was clear as to what would be happening and who (sub-contractors)would be in our home each day. They were all very professional, respectful (wore their masks all the time) and did impeccable, beautiful work. Ron is a perfectionist with very high standards & they certainly rose to his high standards. We'd hire him again in a minute ands highly recommend R3J!- Kathy S.
-
United StructuresVery pleased. I had sent pictures of the door locks but the problem was actually the door and frame were out of square. Dominic was able to diagnose and resolve in one trip.- Kirk D.

@ a moments notice;llcThe door was placed exactly as expected. He arrived when he said he would and did all the work beautifully. I asked him to do a few other handyman projects while he was here and he was able to help me out, saving me another call. Kevin is efficient and professional. I have him on speed dial for any future projects.- Madelon L.

Lo's Contracting, Inc.Working with Amadou and Marlon was so smooth and easy. They were both very professional and easy to work with and I enjoyed meeting them and feel very fortunate that I found them! Lo's helped me convert what used to be a garage/carport in to a walled-in workshop. They turned the job around super quickly and did excellent work, they were able to work with me even though I had a small budget, and they even came back to fix a punchlist thing which I really appreciated. I would 100% recommend them and hire them again.- Sasha B.

Recent Review:
We had Windows World of Portland replace 35 Windows and 2 Patio doors. It took a little over 4 days with 2 workers which I consider faster than expected. At the start of the project I was concerned with potential damage to the siding and trim from extracting the old windows, but in the end the work was done with great respect to the property. We had to do a little trim touch up, but the new windows look fantastic. We received bids from 3 window companies that ranged between $30,000 and $60,000. Our cost was a little over $30,000 which after shopping around I think was very fair. As with any remodel project there were times when we had questions or concerns and every time we raised an issue it was dealt with and the response exceeded expectations. I would definitely recommend Windows World and I would hire them again.

Paul’s crew did an excellent job remodeling our kitchen. This included removing the soffit, upgrading the electrical service, installing new cabinets, and installing some new appliances. We stayed with a similar layout for the kitchen. His main crew person, Mark, did 95 percent of the work and was highly skilled. This included demolition, preparing the space for the new kitchen, installing the cabinets, and putting in duct work for the new hood. He even unpacked all the cabinets after delivery. His attention to detail was impressive in all areas like ceiling texture, painting, backsplash tile, and trim/molding pieces. Mark will be able to figure out and resolve any issue your old house might present. New appliances were on our own to provide, and the contract clearly stated “owner supplied.” New cabinets were also on our own, and here Paul included an allowance. This allowance is an amount he will subtract from the final amount you owe. That’s nice when you get to the end of the project. Your cabinet estimate will come from the cabinet supplier/design company you go with. To give you an idea, in our small kitchen we spent $10,000 on cabinets from Parr. Paul coordinated the main construction, electricians, plumbers, and countertop installation. He even communicated with the cabinet supplier we ordered from. The project took a tad over 6 weeks which was about right for the work involved. Each day there was noticeable progress.

2 guys showed up, one was lurking by their truck and smoking. Didn't participate or say a word to me. He also put his shirt up over his mouth when he wandered in to the conversation, no mask. The other walked around with me though he didn't ask any questions or seem interested in the information I tried to give him. The whole experience was so bad, I ended the meeting quickly. They were going to call with a bid but I never heard from them again.

Recent Review:
We first used Fouch Building and Remodeling to remodel our kitchen. The kitchen turned out absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t be happier. Working with John Fouch and his team was easy—they were responsive, respectful and skilled. Every single one of his team members was nice and professional which is so important when you have people in your house every day for months. When we signed the contract, John told us the project would take four months, and he finished exactly on time. In addition, he sent us a regular weekly schedule, so we knew where we were in the process, and what to expect in the upcoming week. Whenever we had a question or concern, John responded on the same day and addressed any problems quickly and professionally. We loved our kitchen so much that we had John build us a new garage and remodel our front door and stoop. Both turned out wonderfully. In fact, strangers regularly compliment us on our new front door and stoop because the remodel transformed the look of the house. All and all, John Fouch and his team were outstanding, and we would use them again in a heartbeat.

Ed and his grandson Ryan transformed our deck from old and dilapidated to new and beautiful. I'm certain that our deck currently looks better than when it was originally built. Ed also poured a concrete slab next to the deck where a future hot tub will go. We're very happy with the finished product and have even talked with Ed about replacing an upper deck on our home. His price was great and we feel like we got a good deal considering the beautiful work. The installed steps are built so debris doesn't constantly gather underneath like the previous deck. We will definitely hire Ed again.
