Mascotte Home Security

Mascotte exceeded expectations with friendly, prompt service and reasonable prices. They installed a sturdy security door and added security grates to a vulnerable window. We wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again.

Wow. I cannot say enough about the exceptional quality and workmanship of our new security doors. They are beautiful, evenly weighted, perfectly installed and finely crafted. They have greatly improved the look of our front entrance and backyard and they have enhanced the security of our home. The people I dealt with at Mascotte with were very friendly, knowledgable and communicative. I would highly recommend Mascotte Home Security Products to others.

These were our 3rd and 4th doors built by Mascotte. We purchased 2 a few years ago.  The service is great and I have never seen security doors this nice. They are solid tanks, not flimsy home store doors. The new ones with the glass in them (they have screens for summer) are so tightly built that you can feel suction when opening and closing.  You can leave your home doors open when the weather is nice and the screens are in while your house is still secure and they add a layer of insulation in the winter. We will use Mascotte if we move and need new doors for sure.  Oh they are incredibly good looking too.  The ones from a few years ago still look new, not a paint chip on them.

 I found Mascotte Security online and after poring over the website and reading the endorsement from the Portland SWAT team on there in addition to the beautiful designs, I decided to call. I live about 30 miles outside of Portland and they were accomodating to come out and do an estimate. The owner of the company arrived with color samples and answered all my questions and gave me input on things I had not considered.  I could tell this is a person who profoundly cares about his company and the work he does. He stands behind the quality of his work and cared about the smallest of details. I ordered custom security doors for the front and back doors of my home and waited about 8 weeks for them to be crafted and installed.







The contractors Mascotte Security provided to install my new doors were Stumptown Craftsmen and they were exceptionally professional and installed the doors fairly quickly and very well. The quality of the doors themselves were outstanding. All edges are very smooth, not one rough edge to catch anyone's skin or hurt my dogs. These are serious security doors without any question unlike any other I've seen while researching. I really like the fact that they are also beautiful as well as functional and that was important to me so they didn't look as "Fort Knox" from the street as they really are. My husband was slightly concerned the bars in front of the patio doors would be obstructive of the view of our garden, but it actually blends in very nicely and is surprisingly not view-obstructive at all. He instantly loved them when they were placed.

In short, this product and company exceeded my expectations. They are well worth the price. It's the only home upgrade I've ever done and may get to do for many years and I consider it a great investment. I also feel great about supporting an American company and an American made product.

My only advice for added security is to be sure to get the double keyed option for your doors.

outstanding ! excellent-to-outstanding product & service. some delay in delivery/installation as this is a custom product.  company/product used on our previous home. 

We have used Mascotte 3 times now. Once on our previous house and twice on our current one. This last door covers our sliding door the goes to our deck.
1 - Best built doors you will EVER find!
2 - I was amazed that security door covered opening for sliding door area, but still allowed the opening to remain the same width to move appliances thru into the kitchen.
3 - They custom make each door, you pick color, design, etc.
4 - I love the glass and screen panels that come with the regular sized door to change out per the season.
5 - I LOVE how much safer I feel with these doors on my house, I can have a breeze going through my house in the summer without worrying about "visitors".

The doors are beautiful.  Larry and his installers did an outstanding job.  These are the most secure doors we could find and they are worth every penny.   Flimsy Screen Doors were only a few hundred doors less and one of those doors was pulled off with a crowbar.  Larry showed us various designs and colors and we are very happy with our choice.   This is one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with, they are professional, have excellent processes, and the highest quality product of it's type in Portland if not the USA.  I totally recommend this company to anyone wanting the peace of mind that they have the best security door that a burglar cannot enter.  With Portland's Crime Rate at 265% of the national average, I believe everyone needs these  doors.  Thanks Larry, you guys and gals are the greatest!!

The doors are beautiful. They did a good job. The doors are expensive but they are heavy duty and we got the newest design. The only glitch was the contractors that came out wanted to be paid separately and I called Mascotte and they told me they would pay them when they got back. The communication with the workers and Mascotte was the issue with that.

the representative was prompt in coming out to measure for the doors.  The doors were ready in 3-4 weeks, and the installers
brought them out.  They went beyond the usual service in helping to put the sliding glass door back in its frame after some
equipment had been delivered, then they installed the sliding security door.  I love Mascotte doors, they very strong security
doors.  This is the second house in which I have had them instralled. 

Everything was fine. They are really knowledgeable and they came out and showed the product and I actually went through their manufacturing area to look at the entire product and they made the doors and installed it. The doors are very easy to operate. They have like a glass on inside which you can put in the door timer you can change those to a screen and both in the upper and lower part of the door and they have the lock on the both sides to prevent people from just like breaking the glass and unlocking the door. They are very well made doors. I would use them again.

They have a very good product and each door is custom made for a maximum fit. We had them come out, have paid for the deposit, they are currently making the door and we waiting for completion of service.

They are terrifc and their doors are gorgeous. Many people have commented on our doors.

I called Mascotte to have a bid done on installing a security door.  The owner of the company came out within a day to give the estimate.  He was very helpful in helping me think through options.   For the day of the service, they were on time, and did a great job with installation.  The door itself is very high quality and I couldn't be happier.  I certainly have more peace of mind, and intend to use the company for other projects. 

The four appointments went well with a variety of styles to chose from. Mr. Mascotte was very informative and went out of his way to make sure I was pleased with the upgrade and installation of the security doors.

The doors are really nice and the colors even match my house. The work went as scheduled. I couldn't ask for anything more, it was just very good. They even have removable screens on the door that you can replace with glass during the winter which helps to keep the heat in too.

They do excellent work. They are very reliable and dependable. We would definitely hire them again in the future if we needed to.

We were pleased. They came out and measured it up. They told us that it would take 3 weeks to install it, which it did. He came out and installed it without any problems. It looks nice and works good. We are very pleased.

We had gotten front and back security doors from them in Portland about 12 years ago and loved them because they have glass and screens in them. These are hardcore security doors. They're very nice. He came out and measured our door, we told him what we wanted and got to pick out the design, the color and all that stuff. He said it would be two weeks and it actually ended up being six days. They came out and they have a contractor who puts them in. Both of them were very professional. The door was so nice. It's what I asked for for my Christmas present. It's gorgeous. They're incredible doors. They were incredible doors 12 years ago and it's an incredible door now. I would highly recommend them. They were very professional. They quoted the price, it was exactly the price we paid. They were great. They're not cheap but nobody's getting through this door. It was very much worth the price. I think if you hooked up a chain on the back of the car and attached it to the door, you would actually take out the whole frame on the front of our house. They mount it on the front of your house, these huge deadbolt things that go through them, you can't get them out. If somebody wants to break in your house, they're going to have to go through a window, because the door they're not going to get through.

The doors are beautiful and very secure. I had suspected a peeping tom had visited, so I had Brinks install alarms on the windows (we have had Brinks alarms on the doors for many years). When the Brinks man was done, he remarked that anyone who wanted in would just kick in the back door anyway! So, I thought I'd better do something to shore up the back and front doors. The Mascotte representative who called here showed me several choices of design and color, and the installed doors are a good match for the trim color around the doors. The work was done very promptly after ordered.

They were very professional to work with, they are local company, they are very friendly. They have really good references, they came right out and gave us an estimate and were really easy to work.

GREAT JOB. I WILL BE HIRING THEM IN THE FUTURE.
