This contractor able to repair and replace where needed as well as worked with me on paying for the additional work. My wife and I don’t have much of an artistic eye but Michelle was able to use her computer magic to allow us to see mock ups using different colors as well as what our addition will look like. Yes company put up a gorgeous carport and addition to existing pavilion. Company does rain gutters as well. A one stop shop which I prefer instead of having multiple contractors. Great family feel when working with owners and staff. Company worked from sun up until sun down only missing obvious rain delays attempted several time to work in between rain. Told me to order the wrong amount. I had to reorder more which came from a different batch and didn’t match exactly. Approximately 4 years after remodel the grout started failing. I now have many places with no grout and it’s getting worse. I can’t even find anyone who is willing to fix the mess they created. I highly recommend anyone to find another contractor for any work needed. Terrible work"

Your garbage disposal will only affect the health of your septic tank if you’re using it too frequently, or filling it with organic waste that doesn’t fully break down. If the tank fills up with too many solids, the bacteria won’t have enough time to consume it before more is added, which can lead to an overflow in the drain field. Your tank will need to be pumped more frequently with excessive or improper garbage disposal use.

Most garbage disposals have a reset button that can be triggered with a tool as simple and accessible as your index finger. That said, if you need to perform a more in-depth troubleshooting step, like manually moving the arms inside the unit or rotating the impeller plate, a hex wrench is the most common tool you’ll need. Most garbage disposals come with a hex wrench.

Many homeowners wonder if a garbage disposal is necessary with a dishwasher. After all, many dishwashers are powerful enough to handle bits of food with no issues.  

Still, your dishwasher should not act as a replacement for a disposal. Subjecting your dishwasher to continuous leftovers could lead to major clogs. If you don’t want a garbage disposal in your kitchen, simply scrape away any extra food into your trash can or compost pile.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.
