"We appreciate you bringing these issues surrounding your move to our attention. Daryl Flood has a strict policy against flirting or acting in any manner that may make our customers feel uncomfortable. We will submit your feedback to be reviewed by managment for best practices."
On the other end, some of the crew was the same and they moved our stuff through the rain, taking care not to soil rugs and floors. Unloading took a half day and they were a delight to work with.
Just a word to customers. These guys work HARD. If you feed them a simple meal (take out barbecue sandwiches and soft drinks), make them welcome in your home (show them where the bathroom is, tell them there are water bottles and soft drinks for them to help themselves to in the fridge), they really appreciate it. Tips each day (or all at then end) go to guys who are hard-working and trying to take care of families.
They will even pack you a box so you can set up housekeeping while you unpack. You can request your favorite chairs come out first, so you'll have a place to crash when they leave.
I would heartily recommend Daryl Flood Mayflower to anyone involved in an out of state move.

Day 1: They showed up on time and ready to go with a 5 man crew. They were professional and worked quickly to load our belongings. They moved everything we asked without damaging our belongings or our home(s). They loaded until about 1:00 and then unloaded until close to 6pm. They put the boxes in the rooms as labeled and assembled beds, furniture for us. Great first day.
Day 2: They showed up on time again, but with only a four man crew. The foreman was the same, but clearly he was in a hurry to get us moved and the results reflect it. They loaded up our home until about 1:00 (leaving several things behind). They came to our new house and began unloading. The first couple of hours were ok, but as the day wore on they began to get sloppy. The scratched our furniture, our hardwood floors, and walls. By about 5, they were clearly ready to go (really the foreman was, which impacted the rest of the crew). We noticed that they were starting to put boxes wherever just to get done (we had to tell them to move them and still found them all over the house later).
Post move, they were very professional and have so far fixed all of the damaged furniture (they don't replace, but repair really) so you have to weigh the $500 for insurance. They have repaired the damage to our carpets (cleaned), but have not come to fix the damage to our walls yet (which is too long as our move was a month ago). I think they are basically good people, but would be very aware that the attitude of the foreman will significantly impact the quality of your move experience so to make sure you get a good one and if you sense issues, call their Rep immediately so that things get done correctly.
THE ESTIMATE and CONTRACTING: Of the three, the one that I felt was most accurate weight was provided by Jason S. with Daryl Flood (Mayflower Movers). The other two estimates were nearly 3000 pounds more in weight than I thought should be (I had moved a couple of years earlier and had a good idea of how much stuff I actually have!)
In addition, Jason arrived on time and provided professional advice to help me with my move. There was no pressure to go with his offer/estimate; he encouraged me to compare the estimates. Once I accepted the offer, payments and contract completion were handled online.
MOVING DAY: The day before the packing out, Betty called to inform me of the name of the driver who would be hauling my stuff, and when he would arrive. Lettie packed my fine china and crystals, clothes, all the electronics and paintings - she did an awesome job, working quickly and efficiently. Manny M (the driver) and two other disassembled and wrapped the furniture. And, on pack-out day, a huge storm was moving into the North Texas area - Manny and his crew rushed to beat the storm - but not at the expense of my things.
After the pack out, the driver kept in touch with me by phone and we coordinated delivery date.
ARRIVAL DAY: Everything was delivered on the promised date and everything arrived safe and sound!
FINAL CLOSE OUT: And a few days later, they sent me the final bill of lading, showing the actual weight of my stuff. They only over estimated by a bit and refunded $140 to my credit card.
BOTTOM LINE: As an Army Vet, I have moved across country and overseas a total of 16 times before this - and I can say that this is the best, most efficient move yet!
NOW TO THE UNBELIEVABLE!!!! They lost our handpainted hardware to put our bed back together, so they went to Home Depot and got ugly silver nuts and bolts so we would be able to sleep in our bed that nite!! Then.....they lost our specially made box springs!! How do you lose box springs!!??!! We had to have them remade.....they ripped a handpainted painting from Japan, saying since they didn't hang it, someone else couldve done that.....Lladro smashed, it goes on and on.....When we made requests from the and quot;specialand quot; people who where there to help us, NO ANSWERS!! We made claims, but most of them were turned down.....I am missing furniture, but becuz I didn't realize it til after the 90 day claim, its gone for good.....NEVER would I EVER recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy......
