"Reached out to CertaPro to paint all of the interior common areas of our home. They called me the same day and scheduled an in home appointment the next morning. Jim Showed up promptly at the time of the appointment and was very helpful and knowledgeable in pointing us in the right direction. Jim provided a quote the same day and we scheduled the job the next day. Due to some weather affecting some outside projects they were able to move us up and start the job earlier. We have 10 ft. ceilings, did the Kitchen, living room, entryway and two hallways walls and ceilings and the project took about 3 days to complete. The painters were very good at taping off all of the trim and wrapping all the furniture prior to painting. Once the painting started it went quick, and as soon as they were done all the taping and coverings were removed and they helped reset the furniture. I couldn't be happier about the job Jim and his team did on our home it truly made us feel like we moved into a new home. Jim followed up a week later to make sure everything was still looking good, and I would definitely use them again on future projects."

"Mr. Reese was very professional. He checked the house for necessary repairs before beginning the job and provided various options for repairs. He replaced soffits, caulked, repaired or replaced damaged wood, painted wrought iron, removed and replaced shutters, removed gutters and patched roof. He completed the job on time and at a reasonable price. I would definitely use him again."

"I contacted several of the top rated painters on Angie's List to get quotes on painting the exterior of my home.  Greg was not only the quickest to respond, but also the most professional and quoted me the best price.  He was able to get me on the schedule for the following week and was very easy to communicate with.  Greg and his crew were punctual every morning and were very careful to clean up every day before they left.  The job took about 4 days and I'm very pleased with the finished product.  I've recommended Painting & Beyond to several of my neighbors and will definitely be using them for any future painting projects.  "

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Stubborn adhesives, multiple layers, and drywall damage can complicate removal.

In most cases, it is not recommended to wallpaper over existing wallpaper, as the success depends on the type of paper already on the wall. While you might be able to cover non-coated wallpaper, you should never apply new wallpaper over a vinyl-coated one, which is more common. Doing so can lead to poor adhesion, resulting in bubbles, imperfections, and peeling. It can also trap moisture, potentially causing hazardous mold growth between the layers.

Even if the existing wallpaper is suitable, experts recommend applying only one new layer. Adding multiple layers (more than two total) can cause significant adhesion problems, leading to warping and bubbling. For the best results, the recommended approach is to remove the old wallpaper and all paste residue before hanging the new paper. If you are unsure about your wallpaper type, consider consulting a professional.

White walls are considered a classic and timeless look and will most likely always be in style. A white wall easily blends into any type of home decor style which makes it a suitable option for most homeowners. Another appealing quality about white walls is that if it's not a color someone is going for, the color is easy to paint over.

You may end up with extra wallpaper once your project is finished. Hang on to that wallpaper, as you may need to use it to patch up areas that get damaged later on. If you have a lot of excess wallpaper, try getting creative with it. You can use it to line the inside of a cabinet or drawers, for example.

To remove adhesive-backed wallpaper, you’ll need to soften the adhesive before you try peeling the wallpaper off the walls. You may wonder whether peel-and-stick wallpaper damages walls. It can depend on the removal method. Make sure to be patient and consider using a steamer, hair dryer, or adhesive remover to carefully take down adhesive-backed wallpaper.
