"Had to file a claim for new clothes dryer, and repairs on fridge. Foothills Star Appliance came to look at both. Eric was the repairman. He was friendly, answered all my questions, and very professional. I would highly recommend his company."

"We got the Angie's list deal- $59 for 2 hours of handyman services. John came over and installed our wall oven.  We were not sure what it would entail at first, but he installed it and it works great. We need some drywall above the oven and

paint, but there wasn't enough time for him to do that, so he started working on the bathroom fixtures. He was great and worked fast. We are going to call him again for the paint and drywall work.

Residential is where it all started for Rescom so with that being said Rescom offers some of the best installs in the nation. all installs come with a 2 year workmanship warranty. Plus all shingles we use come with at least a 30 year-lifetime manufacture warranty. Our structure is superior we have it set up to be hassle free for the homeowner from dealing with insurance to meeting the adjuster, submitting change orders etc. we take care of it all. We also take every roof down to the deck and inspect the decking and make sure your new roof will be up to code and set up for success to not fail you and your family. -PS If a roofer ever says he is going over the old with new FIRE him immediately!! You wouldn't buy a car that was taped back together so don't do the equivalent to the biggest investment of your life.\n\nWHY DO WE TAKE IT DOWN TO THE DECK EVERY TIME YOU ASK?\nANSWER: BECAUSE OTHER WISE LEAKS LIKE THIS ONE BELOW WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AND FIXED. ON INSURANCE PROJECTS FOR THE CUSTOMER THE OVERALL COST OF THE JOB IS THE SAME. A ROOFER WHO GOES OVER OLD SHINGLES IS JUST PADDING HIS POCKETS WITH MORE PROFIT AND MONEY. WE LOOK OUT FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!

"They drywalled and textured 5 ceiling in my home and did an excellent job, 2 of the ceilings are vaulted to 16 feet and I had them enclose 2 4 x 6 ft skylights and you cannot tell where the skylights were. They removed and replaced the ceiling in the garage that was in bad shape from leaking flat roof. Efrain told me job would be done in 3 days and they finished in 2 days!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

Yes, even if you’re being careful, removing tile can damage your drywall to some degree. However, you can minimize the damage done to it by eliminating a majority of the grout and taking your time prying each tile off. Also, it's worth noting that you might have more drywall damages to deal with if your tile is set into the mortar.

Although they have similar applications, spackle and joint compound are not the same. Their primary differences lie in their composition, consistency, and ideal use cases.

Spackle is composed of gypsum and binding agents, making it thicker than joint compound. It dries quickly and is easy to sand, which makes it ideal for small wall repair projects like filling nail holes or patching minor damage.

Joint compound, also known as drywall mud, consists of limestone and gypsum. It is primarily used for large-scale projects, such as taping and finishing the seams on newly installed drywall. It tends to shrink more than spackle and can be more difficult to spread.

While both products can be used to fill small depressions and cracks, spackle cannot replace joint compound for taping and mudding new drywall. Conversely, you can often use joint compound for small patching jobs typically done with spackle.

Which style of corner bead you choose—whether metal or paper-faced—depends on your preference and if you’re comfortable using metal-cutting tools and a hammer. Metal bead offers superior strength and durability but its installation is slightly more involved. We’d say for most cases, it’s better to use metal bead but if you’re not comfortable working with metal, paper-faced bead will work just fine.

You can paint over drywall mud about 24 hours after application, but the exact timing depends on factors like humidity, temperature, and the thickness of the mud. For the best results, ensure the mud is completely dry to the touch and has changed from a darker gray to a lighter, chalky white. Don’t forget to sand and prime the drywall surface before you paint to create a smooth, even finish.

You can put certain types of plaster over other types, but doing so isn't always the best idea. For example, putting a coat of gypsum over lime plaster is possible, but doing so will limit the lime plaster's breathability and potentially affect its performance.

Since cement plaster tends to leave a textured surface, no matter how much you smooth it, some people prefer to use gypsum plaster as a topcoat over cement plaster, creating a smoother surface.
