Small jobs welcome

Hello, My name is Dereck \n I've been in remodeling business for 18 years. Family oriented type of guy. Parents started a company when I was Little. Learned a lot from my dad on remodeling.\n There's really nothing that I'm not capable of doing for you in your home inside or out.\n Have a great work ethic and also I like to think about the customer because a lot of times big contractors just rip a customer off and I don't like that. I like to give high quality work at low price.

I can do any type of work, electrical, plumbing, construction, appliance repair, appliance installation, ceiling fan installation, hang any size television, anywhere, pretty much, any kind of work what I try to do is keep my jobs to one day work try to avoid anything that ties me up for more than a couple days because I have so much work to do. I don’t like to put anybody off if you call and need something done usually, I can do it same day. I also have lots of references that will tell you that I’m very good with what I do and all of my customers are always happy.

"The Installation gets pricey if they have to travel 150+ miles and stay overnight but the quality is second to none. The fit, finish, engineering, and construction are equal to that of hand-made furniture from the turn of the century. This was our first experience working with Amish craftsman. The pride, work-ethic, and meticulous craftsmanship demonstrated by the Highpoint Cabinet's team is something you seldom experience with any construction contractor. I do most of my own renovating because my standards are too high to trust it to someone else. Highpoint Cabinet's is the only company that has ever fully met, and in some cases exceeded my expectations. We drove three hours to check out their facility before making a purchasing decision. The experience from start to finish was exceptional."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals and keep cabinets dry to prevent damage.

It’s best to stick with lightweight cabinets, such as medium-density fiberboard, if you don’t have a wall stud to secure them to. Unless you’re attaching the cabinet to a flat board attached to wall studs, it’s best not to risk it with heavy cabinetry or contents. Solid wood cabinets and heavy dishware should be avoided if you cannot secure the cabinet to a wall stud. Either way, always check the weight on your wall anchors and be sure not to exceed it.

The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.

It is generally more cost-effective to purchase stock or semi-custom cabinets than to have them custom-built. The best option depends on your budget and customization needs.

Here is a breakdown of the average costs per linear foot:

  • Custom Cabinets: $500 to $1,200. The final price is influenced by factors like materials, size, and design complexity. For example, a basic slab cabinet door might cost $60 to $70 for materials, while a more intricate mullioned glass inset panel door can range from $100 to $200 per door.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: $150 to $700.

  • Stock Cabinets: $100 to $400. These are pre-built and the most affordable option, but they offer limited customization and may not be suitable for rooms with unusual shapes or high ceilings.

Typically, a medicine cabinet should be installed about 60 to 72 inches above the floor. This height ensures that it's easily accessible for most individuals while allowing for proper visibility and convenience. However, the ideal height may vary based on individual preferences and the average eye level of the users in your household.
