"The plumber was on time and fixed the shower pipe that day. He also tried to fix the out door faucet pipe but what he tried did not work, in all fairness he was trying to fix what someone else had already tried to fix and didn't, It took him 3 tries to finally get it right
He even came out on a Sunday, finally had to replace copper pipe and he also put  a shut off valve that is easy to get to. My Mom
was very pleased with the final result and would use him again.

"On Thursday, the technician (David) came to my house to look at two projects: replacing a leaking electric water heater, and installing a new gas line (in my crawlspace) to my masonry fireplace so I can convert from wood to gas logs. He explained my options, and quoted prices for these options. I asked if he could do the work on the upcoming Saturday, and he scheduled this before he left! I ordered the gas tankless water heater and the gas line to my fireplace. By the way, I had 3 different plumbers look at this work, WyattWorks had the lowest prices. On Saturday David and Alex arrived early in the morning and worked past 6:30 PM to complete both jobs. The installations were great. Everything to code, and with neat, high quality workmanship and thoroughly tested. They cleaned up the work areas and hauled away my old water heater. In other words, a typical WyattWorks job."

"Harmond helped me over video link to test the components in my broken refrigerator. The testing confirmed that it was the compressor that had failed. I purchased a new refrigerator because I decided it was not worth the cost to replace the compressor."

"We chose the right pro! Marty quickly diagnosed the problem as to why the dishwasher was leaking when it was turned off/not running; but soon after running water at kitchen faucet. Water was leaking from the line connected to the dishwasher due to a cracked valve. The work was completed in less than 30 minutes by this very pleasant gentleman."

"on 8/30, my AC unit, while unit was running, it was not cooling.  Called Anderson to take a look at it.  Office staff very helpful. Sent someone out that day.  Had to recharge refrigerant. Technician told me it looked like the motor was going on the condenser fan was going.  When we discussed the fact that I had to have the unit charged 3 times in the past year, I agreed to schedule a time to have the unit tested.  When that was done, found multiple leaks & a bearing leak on the motor fan.  Upon my request, an Anderson Rep, Chris Bain was sent to give me an estimate on a new AC unit.  I decided on a more energy-efficient unit, so the price was higher.  Chris answered all my questions in helping me decide on the unit.  Then we started discussing the fact that the second floor never gets cool in the Summer (and the first floor is cold) & the heat in the Winter doesn't seem to get upstairs.  Chris recommended the zoning system which involves sealing up the basement ductwork & adding shunts to the system to help pump more warm or cool air upstairs on demand to help get the conditioned air to where it is needed.  Mr. Anderson (the owner) came out to help check everything out when I told Chris I was interested.I felt it was a worthwhile investment in my home and worth the expense.  Chris helped set up 12month same as cash financing & went over everything very thoroughly.  Everything was installed & taken care of as promised and on time.  Did not get to try the AC til this year, but the zoning worked as promised.  I can even set the upstairs to be slightly warmer in the winter than the first floor & it works!  The AC has worked perfectly through the summer as well (and it's very quiet)!  No complaints.  Have a service contract with Anderson to check the unit annually.  Great company to work with!

Percolation Tests questions, answered by experts

Yes, even a single, one-time exposure to asbestos can be harmful and increase the risk of future illness, including certain diseases and cancers. The level of risk depends on several factors, such as the concentration and intensity of the exposure. A small, brief exposure is less likely to cause significant damage than an exposure to a high concentration of asbestos fibers.

The likelihood of developing severe health issues increases with repeated or prolonged exposure. Individual reactions to asbestos vary; some people may have multiple exposures without harm, while others are more susceptible. Asbestos-related illnesses may not manifest for 10 to 40 years after inhalation.

Due to these risks, it is crucial to take precautions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may not offer complete protection, as fibers can get through small gaps. The EPA recommends hiring a professional for testing and removal if you suspect the presence of asbestos in your home. If you are concerned about a potential exposure, consult your doctor.

Yes. Gutting a house to the studs may actually be a good option if you believe a home contains toxic materials like asbestos, mold, or lead paint. However, this must be done under the supervision of licensed remediation experts.

No, an N95 mask will not protect against asbestos and many other hazardous materials, such as carbon monoxide, gas, chemical vapors, and other gases. You will need a respirator specifically designed to protect against asbestos. However, if you suspect asbestos is present in your home, hire an asbestos abatement professional immediately and avoid the area until they arrive for the inspection.

Most manufacturers stopped putting asbestos in linoleum before 1980 due to public concerns about its toxicity. However, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) didn’t ban asbestos-containing products until 1989, and a comprehensive ban was not announced until 2024. This means that homes built after 1989 may still have asbestos in their flooring.

It can be safe to live in a house with asbestos as long as the asbestos-containing materials are intact, in good condition, and not disturbed. Asbestos becomes dangerous only when its fibers are released into the air, which happens if the material is damaged, crumbling, or disturbed during renovation work. If you suspect asbestos is present, do not disturb it. Instead of removal, materials in good condition can sometimes be encapsulated. It is recommended to have regular professional inspections to monitor the condition of the asbestos and prevent health risks from potential exposure.
