"I doubt with the company over the phone. They were very nice and professional arrived promptly, and did exactly what they said. They would do. This is at a rental property and the tenant was very happy. I would recommend them."

"I alerted Ashley that soon the established butterfly bushes would be swarmed with bees. She came as soon as was possible to dig the trench through the heavy, hard clay soil surrounding the porch. It rained and she called ASAP in order to return to complete the job. She cut the appropriate wood/base lengths and went underneath to attach and add the wire skirting, plus to remove any decayed or living animal remaining. She then returned my garden dirt back to its place, always carefully working around my plants. You could not detect where she had opened up the base vinyl skirting surround the porch in order to do the work. I highly recommend Ashley for her good, precise workmanship and for her wildlife knowledge!"

"First, the reason the cost is not listed is because this matter is being handled by our insurance company and we haven't seen the bills, etc., as yet.  If and when I see a dollar figure, I will amend this review.
Ken Franklin's service was recommended by the company who trapped and removed the raccoon in our attic.  We were very pleased, from start to finish with the work that was done.  All of the attic insulation needed to be removed, the attic sanitized and the insulation replaced. Additionally, we had damage to one room's wall and ceiling.  Two large pieces were cut out and removed, and then replaced.  The process also included having a painter match the ceiling's texture on the new piece of ceiling and match the wall paint.  Both were done very well.  You cannot tell that there ever was a piece cut out of either the wall or the ceiling. This company worked directly with our insurance company so that was another headache they took care of.
At this point we are waiting only for the last gable vent to be duplicated, painted and replaced.

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

The cost of pest control services depends on various factors, but the average homeowner pays around $175, with a typical range of $100 to $500. Your final cost will be influenced by the type of pest, the size and severity of the infestation, and the number of treatments needed.

Service costs also vary by frequency:

  • One-time service: $300–$550

  • Initial visit for ongoing service: $150–$300

  • Monthly visits: $40–$70

  • Quarterly visits: $100–$300

  • Annual visits: $300–$550

For specific pest examples, getting rid of spiders typically costs between $100 and $300, whereas a termite infestation can cost from $230 to $2,500 or more, depending on the extent of the damage.

Pest control and wildlife removal are different services. Pest control specialists typically handle insects and bugs, often using chemicals and poisonous sprays for extermination. Wildlife removal professionals, on the other hand, focus on larger animals. They prioritize humane methods like trapping and relocation, using poison only as a last resort. For insect problems, contact a pest control professional; for issues with other animals, an animal or wildlife removal specialist is the correct choice.

To keep animals out, you must prevent them from entering. As long as they can get in, the problem will persist. That said, consider making your attic less inviting using deterrents like motion-activated lights or ultrasonic devices. Additionally, keeping a well-maintained, clean, and uncluttered attic that you regularly inspect for activity may make the space less attractive to critters.

There are several ways to make your yard a less attractive habitat for moles. Protect your garden beds by installing a fence or other barrier about 2 to 3 feet deep around your garden.

Moles eat insects, so grub removal is another important way to prevent moles from destroying your yard.

Likewise, remove tree stumps, dead leaves, and other debris that attract insects to your lawn. Some plants will deter moles as well, including daffodils, marigolds, crown imperial, and alliums, like garlic or onions.

While you might want to cut corners by either borrowing or purchasing used live traps for catching rats, this can be dangerous because those traps could contain leftover viruses and bacteria that will enter your home. Always start fresh with new materials to avoid contamination.
