Gary's crew was exceptional and very professional!! They cut up and removed this 60 foot tall tree in about an hour and a half and came back the next day to remove the brush. It was very impressive to watch them work. Great job guys and thank you!!!

First class operation from top down. Had two trees removed, stumps ground, wood removed. Went above and beyond what they had to do as I had a small prob. that they weren't required to fix but they did. Friendly staff from Gary, to the office person, to the ground crew. They were prompt on their arrival times and did a thorough job.

It took some time for the work to be scheduled but once agreed upon the work was done as scheduled and cleaned up after.

These guys were great. I think they had the tree removed in 15 minutes. They used a crane in a way I have not seen before.

Dealing with this company was great! From our first phone call to request an estimate, through the completion of the job, GP Tree exceeded our expectations. I called the last week of October for an estimate on having two large maple trees removed and the work was done before Thanksgiving. All my calls were returned promptly; all my questions were answered politely and completely; the price was very fair; they did everything from paperwork through the actual tree work when and how they said they would and the property looked great after they were finished. The tree in front yard had grown into the overhead electrical wires and there were also a lot of branches against the house and roof but the crew did a great job removing the tree without damaging anything. The tree in the back yard was very tall but it's a small city lot with a chain link fence and a garage blocking access to get a large bucket truck into the back yard so the crew had to climb the tree to take it down branch by branch. They removed both trees, hauled away all the wood and debris, ground both stumps and took the grindings away within a few hours. We will recommend them to anyone who asks.

Not well. The trees are a mess. They are misshapen and look terrible. I have had my trees trimmed on 3 other occasions and never had a problem. When they came out to look at the work, they left me with another proposal at the cost of their initial work to fix the issue. I am tremendously disappointed. They said that they want to make me happy, but they are unwilling to do anything about it. I can't believe they can be pleased with their work. I would like to see them put pictures of the job up on their website and see if they can get any future business trimming trees. Maybe their expertise is only in removing dead trees. I would never use their services again!

Every year all trees have an annual growth spurt. These trees were trimmed prior to the growth spurt and we cannot control the way the trees grow back. If you would have told us at the time that the job was complete that you were not happy with the work, we would have then trimmed and shaped the trees to your liking. We have contracted with Gary and GP Tree for over 10 years now; and we've NEVER been disappointed with their service, price and quality of work. Today was no exception. It has been wet here...........................and the ground is soft. Gary and his crew laid plywood and HEAVY rubber matting to protect our yard.........................and given the softness of the soil and the weight of his equipment, I was amazed at how well our yard was protected!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our sunburst honey locust tree spreads over our hot tub/spa and Gary's crew ensured that NOTHING fell onto the spa cover....................................and to trim the branches that were over our garage roof, one of the crew trimmed from on our WET roof...................................which made me nervous because I fell off of the same roof over 2 years ago and fractured 2 vertabrae in my lower spine. All of the work was completed in less than 4 hours...............................and when all of the work was done, our yard was as clean and neat as it was before Gary and his crew started to work. We have a landscaper coming in to put in a new lawn in and around the areas where the trees and stumps were removed; and GP Tree certainly provided the landscaper's crew with a excellent environment for them to begin their work.
I know that Gary is a certified arborist..................................and I belileve that his "tree climbers"/trimmers/thinners are certified as well....................................and the quality of their work reflect that certification. The BEST thing about a GP TREE tree thinning/shaping is that when the tree leafs out, it looks FULL and PERFECT...................................yet in times of high winds, the trees barely do more than "sway a little". Our trees are also healthier than they have ever been!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have GP Tree thin and shape our trees about every 3 years............................or at least we try to do it on that time table.................................and we could not be happier with our service and continued business relationship with Gary Peterson, his crew and GP Tree.
If I've learned one thing in my 62 years, it's that you get what you pay for! GP Tree gives me at least 100 Ab'ram Lincoln "coppers" and 1 silver FDR of value for every folded "George Washington" that I spend.
Angie's List doesn't have an A++ grade; but if they did, that is what I would give GP Tree.
For my money, there is simply NO better tree service than GP Tree!!!!! Good value is "getting your money's worth" AND getting QUALITY work.......................................GP Tree is GOOD VALUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm aware that there are companies that will do the same job for less money; but I've also seen their work...............................................and that's why I unconditionally recommend GP Tree!

Perfect. Best price around. Used crane and bucket truck to take tree down. Left large pieces for firewood. Chipped and hauled away brush. Ground out the stump. Price includes a $50 off coupon from Angies List.

They showed up about a month after we contacted them. The work was done when we were not home. I would have never known they had been at the house if the one tree hadn't been removed. I called the following day to voice my concerns about the biggest tree. It truly looked like it hadn't been touched. I wanted them to come back out and redo it. Unfortuntately, I let Gary talk me out of it. This spring, when the tree's leaves returned, it was a bushy mess. There were random branches sticking out of the sides and the top. It was as wide and dense as ever. We called again and this time Gary was less then amiable about fixing anything. He was absolutely unprofessional while talking with my husband.
During all conversations prior to the work being done, Gary conducted himself in a friendly and professional manner. He is a smooth talker. Don't trust him. Based on the "work" that was completed by them and the unprofessional way he dealt with our concerns, I do not believe he is an honest businessman.

"We are a professional organization and conduct business as such. Over the last 3 + decades in the industry we have thousands of happy customers. I am a certified arborist and enjoy working with my customers. The work was performed as it was stated it was going to be. I am surprised at your dissatisfaction as you mailed payment after the work was completed. On the phone, 7 months after work completion, I mentioned that I would review the work and provide a discounted rate to satisfy, but that I could not do it for free. To much time had gone by. When someone yells and curses at me and demands 'free' long after completion, I have to remove myself from servicing your needs. I have to much pride in myself and my business to tolerate being cursed at....that is not ok. I do not appreciate your attack on my character."
