"I doubt with the company over the phone. They were very nice and professional arrived promptly, and did exactly what they said. They would do. This is at a rental property and the tenant was very happy. I would recommend them."

"I originally called for squirrel removal. When the company came to inspect the situation, it rained & they couldn’t finish. They wanted to reschedule, but after telling them my concerns that the animals might be raccoons, they informed me that they did not handle that animal. But, if I needed them for other pest control, I could get in touch with them."

"He always showed up and was polite. Overall the service was a little above satisfactory. If the "bugs" are gone forever then of course my rating of his work will be better, but only time will tell that. I would/ will recommend him to friends and family if his service proves effective."

My name is Matt. I’m the owner of Ohio Wildlife Authority, a local animal control company helping our community handle wildlife issues safely, humanely, and professionally. I am college educated on wildlife management and have a vast background of construction experience to protect your home while respecting the wildlife involved. In addition to traditional wildlife control, I also use a thermal drone to provide services like, deer recovery, property surveys, and more.

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

If you’re having trouble with your traps, first examine them for flaws that would allow a squirrel to escape easily, such as loose doors or hinges. It’s also important to consider the location of your trap: Place it in areas with higher squirrel traffic, and make sure it’s on a sturdy surface so it can’t wobble or tip (squirrels aren’t likely to walk in a trap that isn’t stable). Lastly, try changing out your bait—in-shell peanuts or peanut butter often work best.

Some of the best smells for keeping squirrels away are those that have a spicy or pungent odor. This includes pepper, garlic powder, vinegar, mint, and coffee. Just be careful when handling cayenne or chili pepper. Don’t touch your face to prevent getting some in your eyes, and be sure to keep it away from children and pets.

While you may be hearing squirrels running around your attic at night, these animals are usually more active during the day. If you hear scratching sounds in your attic at night, it’s mostly likely a mouse, raccoon, or bat. Investigate your roof, attic, and other entrances to your home to find signs that indicate the presence of squirrels or other pests.

Foxes can catch rabies. However, it is rare, and even rarer for them to pass this disease on to humans. If you do see a fox in your vicinity acting strangely, disorientated, having seizures, or randomly trying to bite, contact your local animal control, police, or Department of Environmental Control. And if you are scratched or bitten by an animal you suspect has rabies, seek medical treatment immediately.

Set live traps or install a one-way door to evict squirrels, rodents, and other animals from your attic. Once they’re out, seal any entry points to prevent the animals from returning. If you’re dealing with an infestation, call a pro.
