"My experience was exactly the same as the previous review dated 11/28/17. I purchased an offer for $108 for 6 hours of cleaning from Angie's List. I received no contact from the company so I e-mailed them, and received a reply saying they "no longer worked" with Angie's List and that I could pay them directly or contact Angie's List for a refund. I contacted Angie's List to inquire about the company and they said they asked General Home Services to get back to me to schedule the cleaning. However, I did not receive any further contact from the company. When I contacted Angie's List again, they said "I see the company is no longer advertising with us." And yet, as of today (12/3/17), they are still offering the deal of $108 for 6 hours of house cleaning. This has been very frustrating and a huge waste of time for me. I too am not sure if the problem lies with Angie's List or the company, or both. In that respect, my rating of 'C' for the company needs some qualification."

"The painter George sent did an extremely meticulous job and exceeded our expectations. We were very please with how the job was done - it is the best looking exterior paint job we've ever had and power-washing the walkways around the house made everything look perfect. We suppliedour own top-of-the-line paint from Sherwin-Williams."

"Always on time and completed project ahead of schedule. They took time to caulk outside around the window frames and repaired walls and woodwork prior to painting. Also removed wallcovering in the dining room and bathrooms. House looks phenomenal ! Would definitely hire them again."

"I worked with Brian on the design and materials (granite). He was solutions oriented and professional. Once they began the install, we discovered one of the walls was not true (straight). AHM came up with a solution and moved through the installation with little trouble. We are please with this addition to our basement.

"The guys that came out to provide the service did a fantastic job considering the amount of work there was to do. My job was not easy the previous owners of my home had practically glued the paper to the wall and it was very difficult to remove which also left the walls pretty beat up from the process . These guys were diligent and thorough providing me and my husband with an honest appraisal of the time and effort that would be needed in order to complete the job. Therefore I understood that I would need to go over the time allotted for the deal I purchased from Angie's list"

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

When comparing peel-and-stick and traditional wallpaper, the better choice depends on your specific needs and space. Peel-and-stick wallpaper is more budget-friendly and easier to DIY install. On the other hand, traditional wallpaper lasts much longer and holds up better in a wider variety of spaces, including areas with moisture like kitchens and bathrooms.

Removing a wallpaper border requires the same process to remove full walls of wallpaper. Clear the area, spray down the surface with your hot water and vinegar solution or store-bought spray, wait 10 to 15 minutes, then scrape it off with a putty knife. Sometimes, border wallpaper lifts easier than larger sheets, so you can just peel it right off the wall by hand.

To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.

Stubborn adhesives, multiple layers, and drywall damage can complicate removal.

Yes, many types of peel-and-stick wallpaper can be used in bathrooms, especially those made of vinyl or polyester. However, its success depends heavily on the level of moisture and ventilation. In bathrooms with good ventilation, such as those with fans, it can be a durable option. Peel-and-stick wallpaper may not adhere as well as traditional wallpaper in very humid conditions. For bathrooms that see a lot of moisture, like a kids' bathroom or a full bath with a steamy shower and poor ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.
