They suggested a more modest addition that would check all of our boxes. Mike, Troy, and their architect worked with us throughout the holiday season to design the perfect addition for our home. When we met with Mike, he explained that when they were finished you would not be able to tell where our historic home ended and the addition began - he kept his word. They were able to build a modern addition that fits in seamlessly with our 120-year-old home. Throughout the process, Home Solutions was always there to listen to our suggestions. The team members were exceptionally personable, courteous, and conscientious and listened to our ideas – they made changes on the fly based on our feedback. They were even able to match the new trim to the existing intricate trim and molding. The high quality of work and finishes speaks to their attention to detail. We could not be happier with our decision to trust Home Solutions of MV with our project – we finally have the kitchen and bath of our dreams! Pros: - Isaiah and his team took great care to cover everything properly before starting work and clean up after the completion of the job. - The crew fixed a few things I screwed up during the hanging process but did not change the quoted price. - The job was performed in mid-July and my house is in a swamp, so it took longer than expected for the finishing compounds to dry. Rather than rush the job, the crew took their time and allowed full drying before the next layer. Cons: - None

"The entire job went wonderfully. The carpenters were great guys and extremely hard working. They jacked up and supported the roof over the front porch and did a complete tear off of the front porch down to the foundation and then rebuilt the entire front porch in only two and a half days. They did excellent work with precisely cut mitered corners, routered edges, and many touches above and beyond a standard rebuild not to mention installing a glass block window below the porch and all without disturbing any of the plants my wife had planted all the way around the porch! Before they left they did a beautiful job of cleaning up. We could not be happier with every aspect of the job and it looks much better than the original. "Not every custom builder can custom build – Winthrop Place Inc is a true exception It was a real pleasure to work with Michael and his crew. I already had a fully developed floor plan of what I wanted to build. We went over that in great detail made necessary adjustments and agreed on a start date. Having already build two houses from scratch I had no expectations of getting this basement completed below 4-5 months, so when Michael said he would do it in two - I honestly didn't believe him. I can only say how wrong I was, and how amazed I am at the level of his attention to details. My style is modern contemporary and I needed some custom work which I wasn't sure it could be done. Michael worked with me every step of the way and found resources who would be able to pull it off and the final product was exactly how I had envisioned it. Here's a list of things he pulled off - all which were important to me- 1. Create a floating table that straddles two basement support poles 12.5' apart - the material used was quartz and he had to support all 1100 lbs of it (42 sq ft) without any visible base or legs 2. Wall mount a concrete sink weighing over 300 lbs 3. Wall mounted large electric fireplace 4. Vinyl tile flooring - avoiding any type of visible pattern 5. Paint a 70' long wall to look like concrete 6. Vertically mount 4' x 2' pieces of giant ceramic tile on the riser of my bar Most custom builders wouldn't get past the first item on the list, Michael made it work within a very reasonable budget.
