We specialize in residential and commercial roofing installation. Salgau Roofing, Inc., has been serving the Toledo area for over 18 years. We will work with you from the planning stages of your project through to your satisfactory completion. Salgau Roofing, Inc., takes pride in our attention to detail, unmatched customer service, and high quality materials. Exceptional quality work guaranteed. European trained historical restoration.

"I had a great experience with Salgau Roofing! I received three estimates on my roof, and Salgau was the middle estimate. The largest estimate was $4,000 more than Salgau. And when they came out the man was very condescending and spoke down to me and my adult daughter, who was visiting from Texas (she's an RN). He admonished me and told me my roof should have been replaced 5 years ago. ---I already knew my roof was bad......THAT'S WHY HE WAS THERE! When he left, my daughter and I felt like scolded children, so I decided I did not want to give them my money. The lower estimate was $1,500 lower. I received the estimate 3 days later than they said I would. (Three days isn't unreasonable, but a quick message saying it would take longer would have been appreciated). The estimate wasn't an itemized proposal, but one paragraph with a price. When I asked questions it took awhile for them to respond, and I felt like they were hard to get a hold of. I looked up their address which was a bit deceiving, because their Suite # is actually a PO box number, and I felt if I needed to get a hold of them after the job was done that it may be difficult. I asked about a warranty and he said there was a one year warranty on labor. (Salgau has a 10 year warranty on labor, and a limited lifetime warranty from Owens Corning on the shingles) When Corey (from Salgau) came out he was kind and professional. He sent an itemized estimate that same day. Salgau's estimate was the only one that included pictures of my roof. I went back and forth asking questions and Corey always replied promptly. I apologized for asking some dumb questions, and he made sure to tell me none of my questions were dumb and to 'ask away' making sure I understood everything and was comfortable with the whole process. I had a full tear down and replacement, and I can't believe it was done in one day (very hard workers)! -Except the copper flashing on my chimney, which was done the next morning. That same day I received the receipt, the labor warranty, and the info for the Owens Corning warranty---which Corey also helped me with. When they were done they cleaned up. My yard, driveway, and walkway looked better than it did before they started! My neighbors have complimented my new roof. And, for the first time ever, I looked forward to the rain that was forecasted yesterday....my leaky roof no longer leaks! :) I am so happy with my new roof, and very comfortable with my decision to choose Salgau. I highly recommend Salgau Roofing. And thank you especially to Corey. He was part of the whole process from start to finish. I've attached pictures....I'm sure I don't need to tell you which are the before and afters."

Harrison Floors has been family owned and operated since 1948. We serve Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We install and refinish over 750 floors per year. Our goal is to provide you excellent customer service and a professional hardwood floor job. We are fully insured and covered by workers comp. We are an accredited business with an A+ rating with the BBB. Additional email - [email protected]. Additional DBA - Harrison Builders Inc. Cost is determined by the job.

"Harrison Floors was not only reasonably priced compared to our other quotes, they also stood out for listening to our needs and making suggestions that others hadn't-- suggestions that helped us avoid an inferior flooring product (for the rooms they did in vinyl flooring) and also better-conceal flaws in our flooring that they refinished. They met needs we didn't know we had. The work crew was on task every time I stopped by, and as a family business, there were no questionable sub-contractors involved. We are thrilled with the work they did, and recommend them highly."

"I paid Mr. Phomalee $1275 to do some bathroom remodeling work that he'd initially stated he'd be able to begin between Christmas and New Years this past December. After not showing up at that time, he proceeded to promise that work would begin on eight separate dates, missing all of them. During this time I received no communication from Mr. Phomalee unless I initiated it, and when I did he made an excuse related to his vehicle or family each time. Finally, I informed Mr. Phomalee that I needed him to return the funds paid to him as it had become clear he had no intention of doing the work for which he had been contracted. He informed me at that time that his previous excuses had been lies, that he had used the money I'd paid him for gambling, and that he most recently had not been able to due the work because he'd been trying to secure a loan to cover "the bad checks [he] had written to gamble so [he] didn't go to jail". So, I'm now in a position where I've had an unusable shower for two months, and will be forced to seek legal action against Mr. Phomalee to attempt to recover my money."

Total Quality Constructions offers a wide variety of home remodeling services from additions to whole house renovation. We have direct access to experts in a wide variety of specialized trades like kitchen and bath designers, architects, engineers and green building techniques. We pride ourselves on bringing the most experience available to your home remodeling or new construction project. All materials and specialty products used are purchased only from the most reputable and professional manufacturers, which allows us to keep our quality high and your cost down. Plus, since we manage the whole process from design to build, we ensure a quality result in every remodel or new home constructed. Understanding Total Quality Management The term “total quality” was used for the first time in 1969 at a conference sponsored by Japan, America and Europe. The terminology referred to wider issues such as planning, organization and management responsibility. The Japanese further explained it was “total quality control”. The Japanese continued to explain it was “company wide quality control”, and described how all employees, from top management to floor-level workers, must study and participate in quality control. The West was slow to follow, and did not begin until the early 1980’s when Total Quality Management (TQM) began to surface. Since 1969, the International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9000 has become the internationally recognized standard for quality management systems. ISO 9000 is comprised of a number of standards which specify the requirements for the documentation, implementation and maintenance of a quality system. While today we are now turning to Six Sigma as the new standard, some argue many of the tools and aspects are the same. However the main difference is the that path to quality is now clearly mapped out in six steps (Leadership Commitment - Customer Focus - Strategic Deployment - Integrated Infrastructure - Disciplined Framework and Education and Training).

In business since 1990, Arnolds Home Improvement is your local roofing and remodeling contractor serving Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan. We specialize in roof repair and replacement, bathroom remodeling - including our One-Day Bath remodeling services, siding, windows, and much more.

"I contacted Arnold's for a new roof after receiving recommendations on the Next Door app. They were fairly priced and very professional. Our job did get pushed back due to weather, but they kept in contact with updates as to when they would be able to begin work. The roofing project manager was very professional and answered all of my questions with quick response, even after hours. The job went very smoothly and they cleaned up the job area nicely. I would definitely recommend this company!"

Modern brick houses are really stick-built homes with a brick facade for aesthetic purposes only, so most have framing. With genuine brick construction, most homeowners install furring strips over the interior of the brick and then install drywall over those strips to cover the brick wall, so they don’t have traditional framing.

Your local building code will list all the framing requirements for whatever type of structure you're building. Most exterior walls require spacing of 16 inches on-center, while many non-load-bearing interior walls only require 24 inches of spacing. However, there are also varying requirements depending on your construction material, so checking your municipality's rules is essential.

If you’re considering buying a home with known termite damage, you can negotiate with the seller to lower the costs of the house. They might be able to make the damage repairs before handing over the keys or lower the asking price before the deal is agreed upon. It’s vital though that even if you’re winning the negotiation, a home inspection contingency might be a good idea in case of future issues.

Warped wooden landscape timbers are the result of the wood taking in too much moisture and then drying out. Treated lumber is less likely to warp but may still be susceptible to changes due to moisture. You can reduce the risk of warping by treating the cut ends of your timbers with a product specifically made for waterproofing wood.

The cost to repair a deck is between $900 and $3,500, depending on the cause and extent of the damage. For example, fixing a sinking deck caused by pest damage can cost between $200 and $600, while replacing sinking boards costs between $500 and $4,000.
