We could quibble that the bathroom walls did not end up ‘like new’ as some might prefer and that, after the work was done, I discovered a problem that I addressed on my own. The plaster did not come close enough to the new electrical workboxes that had been installed and the area between two workboxes was left rough. Caserta would likely have fixed this if I had noticed it during the job or had asked them to come back but I thought it easier to just fix it myself. Other parts of the job, like the kitchen ceiling and bathroom trim, ended up far better than we thought possible. "I removed old carpet and padding from the living and dining rooms. The hardwood flooring had beautiful grain and character, but also a lot of damage. Some of the wood grain was raised and there were a lot of stains, some of which were black. I thought it might be a lost cause, but contacted Teppo Interiors through Angie's List for an opinion on refinishing and an estimate.
Kevin Teppo described the process and what results I could realistically expect. It wasn't a lost cause, but it would not be like new either. He was more optimistic about the results than I. He pointed out the crack in the ceiling and that there was no quarter-round on the woodwork, both of which his crew could take care of. There was no pressure to sign or up-selling. I appreciated that.
They were able to start on the job earlier than expected, which was perfect. I removed everything from both rooms.
Evening before sanding: They taped and plastered the ceiling crack. I applied two coats of paint. That was not expected of me but I had the time. It was one less thing for them to do the next morning.
Day 1: Three man crew arrived on time, sanded the floors and applied the walnut stain. I was warned about the fumes, so I boarded my dog for this time frame. The doorways were sealed with plastic to keep the fumes contained as well as possible.
Day 2-4: Sanding and a coat of polyurethane, 3 coats total. The crew arrived on time and were very efficient and polite.
Day 5: Quarter-round was installed. They moved the dining room table and TV stand back into the rooms. Job complete.

"I called Mark from Angie's list recommendation.  He answered the phone and said he could come the same day to give me an estimate.  He said he could complete the job in one day and the price would be $450 for 3 rooms. 
It took me 12 hours to clean walls, patch holes and paint 1 room(without doing baseboards).  Mark and his assistant  Adam did 3 rooms and  baseboards in 7 1/2 hours.  I couldn't believe it.  He also did the baseboards in the room that I painted at no additional charge. 
Mark and Adam were very friendly and extremely polite.  They worked diligently and professionally and only took a 15 min. break.
I would recomment their painting service to anyone.
