A clogged drain in my walk-in tub 2. A replacement for the tub?s drain stopper 3. A small leak under the kitchen sink I was told there would be a $200+ service charge?regardless of whether any work was completed. That should have been my first red flag. When the technician, Eric, arrived, it quickly became clear that he did not know what he was doing. Not only did he fail to resolve any of the issues, but he also managed to make the situation worse. As for the simple task of replacing a drain stopper, I was told it would require an entirely separate visit. Seriously? This is unacceptable. But when we left town for a few days and left the air conditioning on for our cat, we came back to a nightmare. The heat was running at full blast and the house was well over 100°F. It was dangerously hot?this could have killed our cat. This wasn?t a small mistake. It was a serious failure, either in how the system was installed or configured. There was no warning, no alert?just a sealed-up house baking in extreme heat. If you care about the safety of your pets or children, I strongly recommend you do not use Apex for heating and cooling. You could be smelling sewer gas in your kitchen because of a dry P-trap, clogged vent pipe, or leaking plumbing seals. If you smell a rotten egg odor, check your sink’s P-trap and plumbing connections first. A clogged or damaged vent pipe can trap sewer gas and push it back into your kitchen through the plumbing pipes. Loose or deteriorated seals around drainpipes can also allow sewer gas to leak out.
