"Unified s team was very professional, from the quoting to the install & cleanup. Chuck and the install crew were on time courteous as well as informative on any questions I had during the install process. Chuck also gave me some recommendations that I added to the project. When the project was complete they walked me around to make sure I was happy with all the work performed as well as the cleanup. I couldn t be happier with selecting Unified. I will use them again if I have any more insulating projects."

"I had 11 windows and Wrapping completed in January 2017 and I was completely happy with the work. I decided to have the remaining 12 windows installed. I am extremely pleased with the Windows and the trim. I would definitely recommend this company if you are thinking of buying windows."

"Everything from the first phone conversation, the estimate and through the installation of attic insulation was fantastic. The installation crew were very professional and courteous. They removed some unwanted materials in the attic with no hesitation. The insulation and install were very affordable. I couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend The Siding and Insulation Company to everyone! And a thank you to Angi for the placement, otherwise I would not have had such a great experience for having this work done."

"These guys are great. I wrote a few weeks ago about my experience so far. Today they installed blown in insulation. It took a while and they did a great job. Details and explanations of what was going on went on throughout the day. Even on top of that, they had a rough time backing in the truck and left a track on my lawn. Mike ran out and got a few bags of dirt to fill the hole. And all at a reasonable price."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

The entire window replacement process, from the initial consultation to the final installation, typically takes between four and 15 weeks. This timeline accounts for measuring appointments, ordering, and manufacturing. On the day of the job, the physical installation takes about 30 minutes to two hours per window. A full-house replacement can take one to three days to complete. Factors that can extend this timeline include the total number of windows, custom sizes, complex window types, second-story installations, and any necessary repairs to existing window frames or openings.

Yes, you can always make an existing window bigger, but the job complexity varies widely depending on the location of the window and the framing around it. Exterior walls are always load-bearing, so making windows wider will require structural changes that make for a more complex but doable project. Making windows taller often won’t require structural changes.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.

Most modern egress windows installed in basements open outward into a window well, although some older homes have in-swing windows. Egress windows, like casement windows used in other parts of the home, such as bedrooms and bathrooms, may open inward, and these windows are often larger than outward-opening windows.

New window installation costs range from $300 to $1,500 per window, depending on size, material, and energy efficiency features.
