"We had a patio door replaced. The door is of excellent quality. It fit perfectly after some work by the installers. We found out that the original installers did not perform the installation correctly. The installers were very professional and kept us informed every step of the way. We are so happy with our new patio door thanks to Radiant Windows, LLC."
When windows are 10 feet tall, then a motorized lift is quite handy to assist with the installation.
In the winter months, it is always a good idea to bring extra lighting because the the sun sets so early and we must stay to complete the installation.

"We were very pleased with the windows and the installation done by Wallside Windows. They arrived when they said they would and the crew was very organized. Each person knew exactly what they were supposed to do and worked well as a team. They showed great care in covering the floors to avoid tracking. They removed the old windows, prepared openings for the new windows & installed them. They cleaned up very well when the job was completed. They showed us how to clean the windows and explained the security feature for leaving the windows open a little. During the first rainstorm I was impressed that there were no drafts and great seals on the windows. No wind, bugs or dirt were blowing in through seams or cracks like we had with the old windows. We would recommend Wallside Windows with no hesitation to anyone planning on replacing their windows."

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

Window repairs cost $175 to $615, depending on the type of repair. Because double-hung windows have two sashes and multiple pieces of hardware, like locks and handles, there are many parts that can break over time. Repairing locks, latches, or other hardware costs about $75 to $200 and is easy to DIY. Fixing one or multiple sashes costs about $200 to $600.

Common problems include leaks, broken glass, and damaged frames. Regular maintenance prevents extensive damage.

Adding a window to a brick house costs $3,100 to $10,575. Because you’ll need to make changes to the structure of the home, the cost will include obtaining permits and hiring the best pros for this complex job. Larger windows will cost more to install, and the cost can vary based on the window frame material you choose.

Window screens are available in several standard sizes. Common dimensions include 24 to 36 inches wide by 36 to 48 inches tall, as well as sizes like 18 by 14 inches and 20 by 20 inches. These often correspond to standard window sizes, such as 2 feet wide by 3 feet tall or 4 feet wide by 6 feet tall. Screens are also sold in replacement rolls to accommodate various dimensions. It is always best to measure your windows for accuracy before a repair or replacement. If your windows are a non-standard size, you will likely need to order custom screens, which can increase the cost. However, a screen does not necessarily have to fit the entire window, so you may be able to use a standard-size screen even if your window is slightly larger.

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.
