It's been 9 months and no one will return my calls nor have they come to fix what they damaged! They ruined my lawn and never came back to replace the soil they dug up! They ruined my basement floor and I had to replace my entire floor! They said they would be out to test the sump pump and drains that were installed, again, it's been 9 months and no one has followed up with me! They did do the outside walls but didn't acknowledge that the other side (front area) would also have water issues. We had another water leak again, and a lot of water came in the front. They didn't solve my issue, and then they didn't offer a discount to do the inside. They left a muddy mess on the outside of the first job as well, and the steps were also muddy when they put in the beams. I went with competition for the second part."

As the first layer of water protection for your roof deck and the building materials below, underlayment is designed to prevent water damage, so it’s okay if it gets wet. However, you shouldn’t rely solely on underlayment for protection. This type of sealer protects the surface from water, oil, and gasoline spills.

Methods include interior sealants, exterior excavation and waterproofing membranes, sump pump installation, and vapor barriers for encapsulation. Techniques vary based on the structure and severity of moisture issues.

In perfect conditions—meaning, no overexposure to the elements without roofing material on top of it—an ice and water shield can last for decades. In fact, many come with a limited lifetime warranty because they should last for a long time. If, however, the membrane is exposed to the elements during building or if there is a delay in installing the roofing material, it might only last up to 180 days if exposed to the elements. The key is to make it a layer of protection and then protect that layer by installing the roofing.
