First of all, Integrity Waterproofing 100% lives up to their company name! After doing extensive research on both inside and outside waterproofing methods, we decided on an exterior excavation method. We then proceeded to research several companies to help make our decision. We arrived at our decision after exhaustive research into company history, performance and customer reviews. I will list the pros and cons(the cons are negligible and very minor) in summary format. PROS 1) Integrity uses employees not subcontractors. 2) The quality of work was meticulous and detail oriented. 3) The excavation of the foundation was done very carefully and without incident. 4) We asked many questions and Steve and his crew were always patient and informative in answering them. 5) Integrity provided detailed explanations of the excavation, wall repairs, sealing and coating of the foundation, filling of the dig with river rock and the finalization of the project. 6) The quality of the materials was first rate. 7) The transparent and honest communication related to all stages of the project was exceptional. CONS 1) Integrity was not the least expensive quote but they were well within range of the other quotes that we received. 2) One minor call back related to landscaping reinstallation. But Integrity came back to the house and did what we asked them to do in a timely manner. Integrity Waterproofing is an honest company that provides exceptional service at a fair market price. We cannot recommend Integrity Waterproofing highly enough!!!

5 years ago Integrity waterproofed my basement. It was a sieve before they came....every storm I would see rain water come through the walls and flow to the floor drain. On Labor Day 2020 we got 5 inches of rain and none of that got in my basement. None! Do I recommend them? Absolutely and without hesitation!! They were knowledgeable, knew my city’s code, and worked around my schedule. There was no mess to clean up after they were done and my exterior foundation looked good.

Steve and his team did an amazing job waterproofing my basement. I had ground water coming in half of my basement so I decided to call Steve for a quote. He was very thorough with looking over my basement and gave me a detailed over view of what the problem was and how they fix it. Steve’s team did a fantastic job, I was amazed by how fast they were and how clean they kept the job site. They always answered my questions in detail and were a pleasure just to be around. After they finished up my yard looks virtually the same as it did before they started. We just had our first big rainfall since the work was done and I was pleased that my basement is bone dry! I highly recommend Integrity Waterproofing to anyone looking to waterproof their homes.

With all the storms and flooding we've had lately, we have to add a new review in appreciation of the job that Integrity did for us a few years ago. In addition to being a great group to work with, as we said in 2015, our basement has remained perfectly dry and safe. We have just recommended Steve to our son, following a flood in the lower level of their home this past weekend!

About 12 years ago, we hired Integrity to waterproof our basement, which allowed streams of water to run through it during heavy rains. The initial results were good, though we did notice wet spots on one side of the basement. I called Integrity and its owner came to the house, commented on how dry the basement smelt and blew off the wet spots. Recently we sold the house and the new owners' inspector reported that a basement wall was bowed in, something that should have been fixed during the waterproofing. Since Integrity's warranty was lifetime, regardless of owner, we offered to contact Integrity to fix the problem. The inspector told the new owners that the job was so poorly done that they did not trust Integrity to make it right. We had to give back $10,000 of their offered price of our house so they could hire a reputable contractor to waterproof the house appropriately. We paid $15,000 to Integrity and lost $10,000 on the sale of the house, a net loss of $25,000. Also, the owner did not want to hook our AC back up, saying we had to hire an electrician to do it. His wife made him do it. Perhaps now his sons, who did the manual labor at our place, have taken over the business and are living up to he company's name.

"This review is extremely disappointing to me. 12 years ago [Member Name Removed] hired us to waterproof his basement. He didn’t hire us to rebuild the wall. Also we have no record of ever running a service call on this residence. My family takes great pride in our company. Our reputation is unmatched in this industry. In conclusion I think it would be impossible to find a single inspector city or private that would say our work is poorly done. 14 consecutive Angies List Super Service Awards, which no other waterproofer in Ohio has achieved points to the quality of our work. We have waterproofed 127 homes in Lakewood including Mayor [Member Name Removed] house. I’m sorry you got worked for $10,000 [Member Name Removed], but we did nothing wrong."

Long story short it was a nightmare...but not for me...for Integrity. I could write for days on what Steve Allen, Tom, and the rest of his crew did for us. Very long story short...we had a 12" pipe running under my foundation that was basically creating a lake under my home. Obviously that pipe should not have been there and was almost impossible to find. Without their dedication and diligence in finding the root cause of my problem, I may have decided to move from the house I love. Steve did many of the final services at his cost because he honestly felt bad for what we were going through. They could have easily just walked away but never did until the job was done. If ever a name described a company it is Integrity. My daughter is looking to buy her first home and the first person I called was Steve. He showed up the next day (what a guy) , took a look, and gave me his honest opinion. Having peace of mind is a wonderful thing. Thanks for everything Steve!

This the second time I used Integrity Waterproofing and I am just as satisfied this time as the last. I noticed water in my basement and Steve came out next day to check our problem. Because our repair was just a small section it was a two day repair. The installers arrived on time, kept us informed about the progress of the fix, were courteous, and professional. I would highly recommend them for foundation repair.

Project went as planned - exterior waterproofing and installation of new drain tiles on 3 sides of an older Shaker Heights home. Price was in line with 3 other estimates. The project was delayed due to the wet spring and summer of 2018, but once the project began, the work was completed in a professional and timely fashion. The basement has been dry so far.

Everything was done smoothly and quickly for the agreed price with no unpleasant surprises whatever. Integrity pleased me very much by taking advantage of unexpectedly good weather in December to do the job in 2018 rather than 2019. The cleanup after trenching and replacing clay with gravel was impeccable. I'd use Integrity again and recommend them without reservation.

We were in general very pleased with the job that Integrity Waterproofing did. We started with a very damp, musty basement and are very happy with the improvement. The price was significantly higher than every other quote that we received, but to my detail-oriented engineer husband, their waterproofing process was the one that he felt would work the best so we bit the bullet and hired them. They excavated around 3 sides of our house, fixed cracks in the walls, applied several waterproofing layers to the walls, laid drain pipes, and filled with gravel, as well as replaced a sump pump in our basement. The 3-person crew impressed us with their work ethic, sometimes staying late at night to finish a step of the process. There were a few setbacks that required extra work (driving rain required steps to be re-done, they hit a water line that needed to be repaired) and they completed that work without complaint. They were very approachable and also dealt very well with my husband, who watched over them like a hawk. They were patient with him and answered all of his questions. After the work was done, we had an issue with a downspout overflowing, and they promptly sent someone out to look at it and then to scope the pipe and eliminate the obstruction. One area that they could improve on is the landscaping at the end. We are not overly picky regarding our landscaping, but they put minimal effort into replacing our bushes/ground cover. A bush was stuck in a hole in the ground with no dirt surrounding it on the back side. And clumps of ground cover were just left on top of the ground without any attempt to blend them into the surrounding ground cover. I wouldn't expect them to spend a long time replacing landscaping, but a little more attention to detail would have been nice.
Response from Integrity Waterproofing
"Thank you for the review. I’m disappointed with the landscaping issue, as we pride our selves on restoring the yard to its original condition or better. We will improve as the result of you bringing this to our attention. Thank you, and thank you for hiring us!"

Steve (the owner) was punctual, explained the process in detail, did NOT practice high pressure sales, and was a genuinely nice person. Tom and his crew were professional, friendly, encouraged questions and kept us in the loop at every step. We experienced an issue several weeks after the job was finished. Steve immediately sent his guys back out to diagnose the problem. While it was not from anything they did wrong, they fixed it for us anyway. One of the best companies we’ve ever worked with. A+ all the way! Would highly recommend Integrity Waterproofing in a heartbeat.

They were very professional and showed up on time for the appointment. They explained everything that could do to resolve my problem. Because I have a patio enclosure it would have been too expensive or not safe to dig underneath. I had to go in a different direction for repairs.

Overall, we were very pleased with the experience. It was a bit of a sticker shock at $6,550, but comparable to most other places. Steve came out for the initial consultation and explained the process and the product in detail. Not a high-pressure situation at all. We considered a couple of other places but ended up with Integrity. They came out when they said they would. It only took 2.5 days if I remember correctly. Completely dug out a trench, replaced drain tiles and pipes and finished with 3 clean-outs. Nice guys and hard workers. The only minor complaint I would have is that they didn't put all the landscaping back in same spot--some plants where moved and they did not overfill to compensate for settling, so I had to call them to have them come back and fill in with more dirt and gravel. (We have a 1/2 gravel seating area and 1/2 dirt/planting area in the front of our house). They did come back within the week and fill in those areas. We had this work done back in April 2017. It is now two months later and we have not had any issues whatsoever with seepage in our basement. (Before, water was seeping in at the seam of the wall and floor during every single rain!) I trust this company. They live up to their name. Even one of their competitors that we were considering had only good things to say about Integrity. (How often does a company say nice things about the competition?) All in all, we are very pleased.

This company was one of the best I have ever worked with. The owner, Steve, came out and explained their entire waterproofing process to me. His estimate was the lowest, but seemed to be the highest when he first presented it. Every company had different methods to waterproofing our basement: inside, outside, combinations - and I did the research on what was truly the best way to handle things. Steve's process is by far the best and should last a lifetime. Our area is encased in clay, and it was squeezing the basement from all sides. We didn't have any real water issues, but cracks were forming and we knew there were issues (or potential issues) on every wall. The house was built in the 1950's, and after doing the research, we decided the entire property needed to be fixed from the outside. I'm so glad we went this route. The 5 man team that showed up was the hardest working crew I ever saw. They started by 8:00 am every morning and worked until 5:00 pm or later. They rarely took breaks - and when they did it was very short, 20 minutes at the longest. But, I don't think I saw the whole team taking a break at the same time, and I was home the entire time. They would answer any questions I had, and by the 3rd day felt like family. The work took about 5 full days (they had to take 1 1/2 days off due to constant rain). They kept everything clean, and put as much effort into cleaning up as they did doing the work. They excavated tons of clay, cement, pipes, rocks, etc. - things you would never expect to see under your yard. They hauled it all away and refilled with the proper materials and excellent top soil. There is no way to tell they did any work - they even had to take up a patio of pavers, save a few bushes and flowers, and they put them back perfectly. These guys took pride in their work and it showed. Obviously, I highly recommend them for any waterproofing job.

These guys are excellent. Their whole crew is very professional. Every time I stepped outside they would ask if I had any questions about what was going on, and explained the steps as they went. They were very understanding if I had input on the placement of lines or how things were run and took that input into account when installing the new lines, even re-doing a couple of things when they moved faster than I could check up on them with no complaints. They even took care of a couple of small items while on site (pulled a stump and old flag pole, widened an area that was dug by about a foot to help with the replacement of the air conditioner compressor).

I write this (my first negative review for work completed) to warn other members of Integrity's faulty work and their failure to honor commitments. It is my belief that I paid $ 5,000 in 12/2012 to Integrity (now a second $5,000 for new work in 2017 by different company) for waterproofing problem that should have been corrected 4 years ago. Here are the 5 reasons for my negative review that I will go into further detail in the following paragraphs below: 1) The owner Mr. Allen did not follow through with his promise to conduct his own camera review of 2012 work. 2) Mr. Allen's 2017 estimate was the highest of the 3 waterproofing companies, even though he assured me his will be the lowest after his special discount. 3) He failed to prove the plumber's negative 2017 camera report of Integrity's work done in 2012 was in error as he claimed. 4) He did not resolve my concern about current leak location not being due to his work done in 2012. 5) This month, upon excavation, the new company I hired discovered that Integrity's previous 2012 work used a faulty connection. In Jan. 2017, I found water leaking into my basement. Since I paid $5,000 for exterior waterproofing in Dec. 2012, I had Integrity owner Steve Allen come out to discuss the problem. I pointed out that the location of the leak is between his work done in 2012 and the connection to remaining clay pipes. Further, I showed him a report of 2017 from a plumber & waterproofing company stating “connection from clay to PVC isn't proper water under heavy rain could be leaking out of this point." This meaning the point of Integrity's 2012 work. Mr. Allen, was adamant that my water problem has nothing to do with his 2012 work, and most likely caused by new problem beyond previous job point. He believes that the plumber's report is an error, and they are not expert waterproofing. Mr. Allen then promised to prove he was not at fault by renting a camera himself at his own cost to show me his 2012 work. After a few days( failing to hear from him) I contacted his office to set up an appointment to come out as promised to use the camera on 2012 area & to give estimate on new work on the rest of the side of house. Mr. Allen arrived without the camera, instead showed me a video from Home Depot on how the Fernco connector is properly used. He claimed this how his crew installed the Fernco. He told me there was no point of the camera because it would not show anything. Following this he gave me a new exterior estimate on another 30 feet of waterproofing for the west side of the house where their 2012 work left off. Estimate was for $5, 500. He assured me as a repeat customer I was receiving a special price, and that the estimate would be the lowest of other estimates I would receive. The estimate further stated that “we will deduct $500 if the connector is not in place, Fernco or concrete." Later, once I have received 3 estimates from different companies, I found out that Integrity's estimate was the highest of the 3, even with the $500 deduction from Integrity if connector was faulty. Thus, I decided not the use Integrity for 2017 work. While the company I chose started excavation this month on the west side of the house, they found an improper connection in the 2012 area that Integrity worked on. Instead of correct Fernco connector, only a simple sleeve was use to slip over the plastic pipes to the clay pipes. This was all documented for me by my new hire with pictures of improper connection (before removal). Further, by providing me with the improper piece of sleeve cover used for me to keep. Finally, the owner of the new hired company stated that this improper connection used was a source of a leak causing water to come into my basement.
Response from Integrity Waterproofing
"I'm sorry this member feels that our previous work was the cause of a new leak 5' away from where our work ended. If our connection wasn't proper we would not have passed the city inspection and the waterproofing would not have worked for 4 years. I'm afraid this member received bad information. We are proud to be the only waterproofing company in Northeast Ohio to have been awarded the Angies List Super Service Award for 11 consecutive years. This can only happen when a company pays attention to detail and gets every job right."

If you have any kind of water issue with your basement, please do me a favor and call Steve at Integrity Waterproofing first! We are so happy with the solution he provided for our basement water problems! Right from the beginning, the free consultation targeted the real issues we were experiencing. Steve was able to outline a customized approach to permanently solve these issues, rather than pushing some generic product like other companies utilize. Our decision to trust Integrity was confirmed the first day when Tom showed up at our home. It was an initial walk around of the site to ensure we understood all of the work to be done. Tom and the crew were back the next work day to start. They demonstrated professionalism and care for our property the entire time they were working around and in our home. Each day, they laid plywood down across the lawn for all areas involving traffic by their equipment. Folks, I have to tell you that this makes a world of difference for your lawn! On the day they left, you couldn’t even tell that they had been working here for two weeks! Another fantastic feature in Integrity’s solution was that they immediately hauled away all of the dirt and clay that they removed around our home instead of piling this material on the lawn like other companies do! They then back-filled the entire excavated area with river washed stone. And not just a small amount over the new drains, but all the way up! If you haven’t seen the photos of our 1955 clay tiles in other posts, be sure to check the pictures here. ([*** Link removed ***] I don’t think barely any water was moving through these. Now we have complete new PVC drain tiles surrounding the home. And our basement that had a constant water trickle is now bone dry! And if the above notes don’t provide enough piece of mind, they also installed a new high-tech dual sump pump with cellular update notifications! I now receive text updates each night and an itemized weekly summary via email. When the power went out last week, the system notified my phone within seconds of the power failure! I haven’t seen any other solutions that provide this continued service! Thank you again to the wonderful crew at Integrity Waterproofing for your dedication, professionalism, and patience with all of my questions! We are so glad that we made the choice to use you for our waterproofing!

I was pleased with the quoting process, the did not try to oversell the work needed and the quote was fair. Previously, I had received a quote from Ohio Sate Waterproofing which was 5 times Integrity's quote and the included work that I was not convinced was needed or would ultimately solve the problem. The 2 men who did the work were prompt, polite, informative and conscientious. I would suggest anyone in the Cleveland area call this company with waterproofing needs.

Integrity did an awesome job! Everyone was courteous and respectful of my property. They worked hard to make sure the job was done right and even replaced the landscaping as it was before work commenced. They only waterproofed on the frontside of my home and a 10 ft section around the corner. There was no attempt to "up sell" me to do more than what was needed. A great experience with a great company!
