Small jobs welcome

"I prefer working with a local company when I need work done. After researching and reading reviews I hired Sparks Tree Service to remove a couple large trees. There was an issue at the completion of the job but Corey came out and took care of it. I would recommend Sparks Tree Service."

"Justin removed a large pine tree off of the house with expertise making sure not damage was done to the roof. He also cut and removed a dead tree. I have a wooded lot and have worked with a number of tree removal companies over the years. I will only be using Squirrels Nest going forward."

"They are professional. There equipment's and clothing provided the company name. They're efficient. They worked hard but more than that they work smart. They work quickly and in a coordinated manner. They were respectful of property. The clean up left our yard looking better than before they arrived, beyond the work they did. They're reliable. When weather prohibited them from doing the job on the schedule day, I was notified early and they promptly rescheduled. I would recommend Juarez Landscaping for any landscaping and tree services."

"My yard was a mess after moving to my house over the winter. They really had their work cut out for them. They cleaned up leaves and sticks cut back tall grasses, removed dead plants and a fallen tree limb. They also did grading around the foundation. They did awesome work. I am very pleased and would highly recommend."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

In nature, there are many things that can cause a tree to die, including diseases, insects, and natural disasters such as fires or droughts. Non-natural methods of killing a tree include herbicides or manual intervention, such as cutting it down. Consult a tree removal professional about your options for naturally killing a tree.

Burning a tree stump can be effective, but it comes with safety considerations and isn’t always best for every situation. It's essential to check local regulations and assess the safety risks involved. Stumps that are near wooden structures or other non-moveable flammable objects aren’t good candidates for burning due to the risk of the fire spreading. Alternatives like grinding or a DIY stump rotting project might be safer and quicker for getting the job done.

Late winter is ideal, but if you’re pruning apple trees in the spring, prune them as early as possible in the season. You want to ensure your tree is just creeping out of dormancy and hasn’t started pushing out new growth. If you prune your tree too late into spring, you generally won’t see results until the following year.

That said, there’s no pruning season for unhealthy growth. Remove dead, dying, or diseased branches as soon as you notice them, regardless of the time of year.

Deciduous shade trees (the type of trees whose leaves fall off in autumn) need to be pruned in late winter—between February and March. That’s because it’s easier to find and remove sick or dead branches when no leaves are present. And wounds close and heal faster in colder temperatures so pruning them at this time also makes them less prone to infection.

While there is a lot of debate about whether boiling water is strong enough to kill tree roots, it is not best to remove the roots from large, old trees. You may be able to weaken young roots enough to remove them manually, but boiling water will likely not do the trick for large root systems.
