"Excellent company. Did everything they said they would. Prompt, efficient, friendly, customer oriented. Worked with Rachel, who took care to make sure everything was done right. Had a small issue which was promptly dealt with. The result was excellent. Highly recommend using this company for your garage floor."

"Prior to selecting Ideal OneDay Garage Floors I reviewed and met with several companies and found Ideal to be best in materials and pricing. I ask to visually good out and review there garage floor work performed and was very pleased with what I saw.. I then made my decision to hire the Ideal company to permed my garage floor coating Excellent workmanship from both Brandon and Matt. All work was performed as I was told to be and these gentlemen were very professional as they prepared and coated my garage floor. As well, both workers were very good to assure that they left no mess during and after the project and leaving my garage and entryway as clean as when they arrived. They answered all my questions as I watched there work process. After completing the work it was explained to me the drying time and when I could replace materials on the floor areas that were coated. End result was a beautiful shiny slip resistant garage floor that I would recommend to anyone. Almost to pretty to drive on.."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Ultimately, it’s a matter of personal preference. However, as a rule of thumb, lighter-colored carpets and walls will open up a room and often make it feel larger than it really is. On the other hand, darker shades tend to shrink a space, making it feel cozier. By mixing and matching light and dark colors, you can add dimension to the room.

The need to replace your flooring depends on the type of flooring and the amount of wear and tear it experiences through foot traffic. For example, you should replace carpet every ten years, but other, more durable options like tile can last up to 30 years. It’s best to speak with your flooring installation professional to determine the best course for replacing your flooring.

Yes, in most cases, you can use furniture sliders on carpeting. However, it’s best to seek out furniture sliders that are specifically meant for carpeting, or a larger size of slider that the furniture won’t slip off of as easily. Many varieties of furniture sliders are versatile enough to use on carpeting, hardwood, or tile floors.

While it may not always be ideal, you can fix a squeaky floorboard without removing the carpet. Pros use specialized carpet screws and drive them through the carpet into the subfloor, securing floorboards. They may also use nails instead of screws if they suspect the pile will get caught in the screw. While some types of carpet will hide the screws and nails, a low-pile carpet may not.

Flooring transition strips can be secured to the subfloor using glue, nails, or screws. For a more secure installation, especially in high-traffic areas, using screws or nails is recommended as it reduces the risk of slippage. However, if aesthetic appeal is a priority, glue provides a cleaner, more seamless finish without any visible holes or screw heads.
