"I recently hired Heaven”s Tree Service for tree trimming and removal, and I couldn’t be more impressed with their service. Jorge and his team were professional, courteous, and extremely knowledgeable.. They arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and worked efficiently and safely. They keep the lines of communication open and very flexible, especially unreliable weather conditions. If you’re looking for reliable, affordable, and high-quality tree service, I highly recommend Heaven”s Tree ServiceI I’ll definitely be calling them again for future tree projects."

"Cody and his team of professionals did a wonderful job under stressful and hazardous conditions. We had a tree fall into another tree as a result of a lightning strike. They were there with an hours to help us litigate further damage to the property. I would highly recommend Cody and Ramsey Tree Service for any of your Tree Service needs. In fact, Cody will be my first call. Going forward for any type of tree or arborist needs."

"Aborite Tree Service did a fantastic job! I highly recommend their services. They removed three 70’ foot trees in a very tight space in my backyard. The team ground the stumps down and left the area clean and neat! Thank you, Sean and your team, for doing such a great job. Also very reasonable rates. - Joy Edwards"

"Great. I submitted a quote request and was contacted the next day. Another company took a week to get back with me. By that time, NexGreen had already come out for first application. They email me the day before they come out and don't try to sell additional services. Maybe they aren't the lowest price bit you get what you pay for. We plan to use them again next year."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

A few signs a tree may be dead is if the leaves are dead and there are no signs of new blooms. You can also perform a scratch test on some of the branches to check the condition of the cambium layer beneath the bark.

If it is green, it is still alive, but if several are dry, brittle, and brown, the tree may be dying or dead. Always consult an arborist before assuming your tree is dead because you may be able to save it.

Palm trees are unique in that their roots don't grow straight down; they grow horizontally. Typically, palm tree roots go down between 12 and 36 inches deep. The roots grow far and wide from the base of the palm tree to absorb as much water and soil nutrients as possible. In addition, the horizontal roots are also very strong—keeping palm trees stable and helping them sway during storms.

Grinding down a tree helps reduce the risk of foundation damage and pests and even helps your home’s curb appeal. Stumps can also be a safety hazard. If grass grows above the stump and someone else mows your yard, they may be in for a rude awakening when they accidentally hit it.

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard.

Unfortunately, the complex and shallow root system of elm trees makes surrounding elm trees particularly vulnerable to DED. Early discovery is key!
