"I spoke with 4 companies regarding installing a barrier to prevent raccoons from burrowing under my porch. Based on my research Green Valley Wildlife Solutions presented the best solution and the cost was very competitive. The work was completed in 2 days, since he did not want to completely seal the porch until he could confirm nothing was still living under the porch."

"Ryan responded to my request to repair my steps. He came over the same night to give me an estimate. Two day after that, he was at my home and knocked out the repair in an afternoon. Extremely happy with his work and hired him to repair the chimney for my next project. Highly recommend Ryan!!!"

"The workers and office staff were easy to talk to, well informed, courteous , and efficient. They performed a thorough inspection. Recommended and installed a stainless liner and cap for the furnace flue and a new damper on the fireplace flue. Their price was better than previous quotes and even set up a partial payment plan. I am very pleased with the work they did."

Small jobs welcome

I’m currently an employee for a block in brick masonry company out of Norwalk, Ohio, as well as a full-time student at Ashland University. I’ve experienced eating back to May 2025 with brick and block repair mainly brick as well as tough pointing grinding and re-tuck pointing and brick replacement, I’m looking for work on businesses or homes so that the place you live for work out of can look its best while you do your best work

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Wood-burning fireplaces typically make homeowners insurance more expensive, simply because they increase the risk for a fire in your home. Gas and electric inserts are less likely to bring up your insurance rates, but you should always speak with your agent to understand how installing any type of fireplace will affect your premiums.

A chimney cap typically lasts between three and 25 years. This wide range is due to several variables, including the material it's made from, the local climate, and how frequently you use your fireplace. Living in an area with severe weather can shorten its lifespan. Regular inspections, maintenance, and minor repairs as needed can help your chimney cap last as long as possible.

The time required for a chimney inspection depends on the inspection level. A Level 1 inspection typically takes between 45 minutes and two hours, with an average of about an hour and a half. A Level 2 inspection usually takes less than two hours. A more in-depth Level 3 inspection can take up to five hours, or even multiple days if it requires removing materials. The total duration also depends on the chimney's size, condition, and how long it has been since its last inspection; chimneys with severe damage will require a longer inspection.

Creosote control, maintaining cap mesh integrity, and swift repairs keep systems robust.

The cost to replace a chimney is about $10,000 on average and can cost up to $15,000, depending on the size, accessibility, materials, and extent of the replacement. Sometimes tearing the chimney down to the roof line and rebuilding it is an option. But if the chimney's internal structure deteriorates badly enough, a complete demolition down to the fireplace or the foundation may be necessary.
