Marchi not only was the lowest bid but also agreed to complete the project before the wedding weekend while other contractors would not. Our driveway is not a typical straight driveway. It has curves to it and he was able to give it an elegant look to dress it up on the edges with his trowel. We have had so many compliments on the craftsmanship. He would frame up the concrete forms and have me approve what was done before proceeding to the next step. I appreciated the time he took to make sure everything was what we had talked about in the design. He and his crew did a fantastic job

- S & S ASPHALT PAVINGI was impressed with the owner of this company from the start......I have been calling many companies in the area to get quotes and remedies to my deteriorating drive for six months. The other companies would 1) ignore me, 2) make an appointment & not show, or 3) give me ridiculous quotes. While this gentleman told me he was busy and probably couldn't come out for a couple of days, he appeared on my doorstep within an hour or so. After looking over the job, he handed me a quote before he left. This quote included paving the driveway and also offered a solution to the water pouring down the hill. It was just 2 weeks after I signed the agreement that his crew appeared and began work....Wednesday, June3. Today Friday June 5 they are completing and cleaning up. The men were ALWAYS pleasant and well mannered. Worked without any grumbles or foul language. The work was done efficiently and to the highest standards. Furthermore, when I expressed a concern or requested a minor change, they took my concerns and rectified them promptly. Most importantly, I found that the crew sincerely respected and 'liked' their boss. Each man knew his job and did it with minimum direction. And each were 'ok' with conversing and answering questions posed to them from me and my family. Some crews would have been defensive seeing the customer observing the process but this crew seemed to welcome it. Would I recommend this company or hire them again. You bettcha! I do believe Dennis and his crew are respectable, capable and hard working. And they deserve consideration for any work of this kind you may need

The project took a total of 5 days (two were only half days due to scheduling of the concrete delivery and the final day was only half day due to completion). They arrived promptly each day with plenty of water for themselves since the weather was very hot and humid. They were polite and patient with my many questions and concerns. Even to the point of agreeing to fix the broken neck of my concrete goose! There were usually 3 workers each day-with the exception of the day of concrete pouring-when there were 7 workers. The additional workers were skilled in concrete working and finishing. The first 1 and 1/2 days were devoted to demolishing the old steps and sidewalk and the creation and set-up of the area for the new steps and sidewalk. The third day was devoted to the pouring, leveling, and creation of the steps and sidewalk. The last day and 1/2 was devoted to touch-up work on the steps and sidewalk, re-installing the house siding, landscaping and clean-up. We paid half of the fee after the completion of the first day and the rest when the project was fully completed. There were a couple of stumbling blocks-one side of the form for the steps blew out during the concrete pouring resulting in the right of the steps not being at an exactly 90 degree angle and the stencil on the sides and front of the steps did not work out exactly as planned-but not to the extent that I would think of the project as failed. We are very happy with the end result and have received compliments from everyone who was seen the finished product. We would definately hire them for future projects

He looked at our property, we had some steps that were eroding and we don't need their services at all. He suggested getting a general contractor and rerouting the water away from our house, the drainage. It was good. It was just an estimate, so there wasn't a charge. Since he couldn't see anything that they could do, then there was no charge. He was very helpful and honest. He was very knowledgeable and I felt he knew what he was talking about.
