They did not wrap anything - even after being asked to do so - deep gouges, and scratches all over my stainless appliances, also deep scratches all over my furniture, which rubbed against boxes and sides of the moving truck because it was not wrapped - multiple pieces of furniture ruined. Broke items in boxes marked fragile/glass - over $5000 in damages and then they tell me they’re going to have their insurance company reach out to process a claim. Still haven’t heard from them and it’s almost a month out from the move date. Looks like I need to hire an attorney. AVOID this company if you value your belongings. Oh, and watch for the fine print on the quote about valuation - if you select nothing, by default they will assign a depreciated value so when they ruin your items they’re not going to pay you full cost to replace them. I paid them in full for a horrible job that is now going to cost me thousands to replace my damaged property"

After going back and forth with multiple companies and getting different quotes, I finally said let’s go with Eagle moving and storage. They are the real deal. "Genuinely one of the slimiest individuals I've ever worked with. From the beginning, he was a referral from a family member of mine. The entire process was a headache. He broke my washer, 2 tv's and my entire desk. ONLY thing i asked them to replace was a desk. Its been 4 months and theres been nothing but dodged calls and texts, no accountability and no ethic. Luis Turcios is a scumbag of a owner, and just a bad person to business with unfortunately. I dont trust him, and i'd advise no one trust him with their belongings. So much for being a man of faith"

Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. "I submitted a request to Angie s List as I was getting ready to sell our house. I was looking for a pool company to make some repairs to our pool. When I spoke to the representative from Angie s List, it was mentioned that we were moving out of state. I was told that Angie s List could assist with that as well. In response to that conversation, I received a call from Erik with Nationwide Van Lines. He represented himself as an employee of an A-Plus company that has been in business for 25-plus years. I asked Erik to give me a quote for a full-service, out-of-state move. I was very happy with the quoted price and was encouraged by Erik to go forward with a Risk Free Deposit of $1,700.00. At the time, I was only able to pay $500.00. In hindsight, I consider that a blessing! Erik emailed me the moving quote and asked that I electronically sign it at my convenience and send it back. He had already taken payment of $500.00 for a Risk Free deposit. For the record, I never did electronically sign the moving estimate. As I was contacted through Angie s List, it didn t even cross my mind that they could be scammers! About a week later, I was contacted by Brandon. He advised me that Erik had been terminated and Brandon was my new contact person. Never was it mentioned by Erik or Brandon that there was a 72-hour cancellation window. This shouldn t matter, however, as I did not electronically sign the moving estimate! As the move was approaching, I decided to call and pay the balance of my deposit. After a gut feeling, I decided to do a little more research before paying my balance. When I googled Nationwide Van Lines, I noticed a different phone number and address. I decided to call the 800 number that came up with my Google search. They answered as Nationwide Van Lines. I advised them I had an upcoming move and that I would like to work out a few details with them. When the customer service representative couldn t find my info, she advised me that I had been scammed. The real Nationwide Van Lines receives calls almost daily with horror stories of people who have been scammed by the company Nationwide Movers. The representative advised me that Nationwide Movers has been using the reputable name of Nationwide Van Lines to try and get business. They are known for lowballing the estimate to get the business, and then they greatly increase the price and use a third-party mover to complete the work. Sometimes, even holding your stuff hostage. She asked that I file a complaint with the Department of Transportation, which I did. The DOT number is for a company called EZ Moving Group DBA Nationwide Movers."
