"If I could give more stars, I would. I had hired a different company to paint my gray house to a creamy white. It took them 4 weeks. I noticed they were cutting corners but they assured me they knew what they were doing. Fast forward 4 months later, paint starts to literally fall off. Rotted wood was painted over and not replaced. A neighbor recommended Wulfhorst Painting and Remodeling and I'm grateful they did. Brad and his team fixed their sloppy work and it looks absolutely amazing. And they had to start from scratch, pressure washing, removing peeling paint, and replacing rotten siding. It took them one week and I couldn't be happier. The first was for the exterior of our house. This latest job consisted of drywall repair and painting in our lower level and ceiling repair and painting in the upper level of our home and our garage. The workmen made sure that all of the furniture, drapes, and floors were completely covered while painting was done. This past year we contacted them to paint a new garage front that had been replaced. we also contracted with them to paint the inside of my house again, we had added a room from the original also. They were here at 9:00 am every day and were neat and professional while here. we also contracted to have the rest of the garage and the outside of the house repainted. This was done this year. There was damage to our sunroom and garage which meant wood needed to be replaced. The carpentry work and the painting went smoothly and we have nothing but good things to say about Mike and Mary Hatton, Do not plan to do any painting in the near future but will make them the first call and have and will continue to suggest them to friends looking for painting to be done. Exterior painting services FAQs
You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.
Calculate the square footage of the area you want to paint. Divide the square footage by 350 (the average square footage a gallon of paint covers). Multiply the number of gallons you need by two, as you’ll likely be applying two coats of paint. For a more accurate estimate, subtract the square footage of the windows and doors from the initial square footage total. It’s a good idea to plan for an extra gallon of paint to make sure you have enough to finish the job.

Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
You should apply at least two coats of paint when painting the exterior of your house. Two coats of paint provides better durability and more even coverage than just one coat.
