"Woody and his Son from Energized Electric did an awesome job. They listened to what I wanted and didn't try to oversell or push me to do upgrades like other companies wanted. You can have power but no lights if the light switch is damaged. A damaged light switch is often caused by regular wear and tear or loose wires. In addition, simple problems such as a burnt-out light bulb or an unplugged lamp could be the cause of not having working lights.

The most common type of electrical outlet is a 3-prong outlet, which has two flat blades (one is wider than the other) and a round grounding pin. If you’re moving it to hide wiring, you may want to move it in a spot that will also be hidden from view, such as behind a media center or table. As long as you meet the spacing guidelines set by electrical codes, you should be able to pick any spot in your home for an outlet. 

While it’s not possible to put a main breaker in a main lug panel, it’s possible to convert a main lug to a main breaker. Converting to a main breaker panel offers increased safety, simplified control, compliance with building codes, and adaptation to changing electrical needs, especially when adding new circuits or upgrading the system.

Most electric water heaters have a built-in shut-off switch, so you can simply turn that to the OFF position. Some water heaters have the switch inside a panel, so you might need to unscrew the panel, remove it, move aside the insulation, and then shut the water heater off. To make sure it’s off, you can also locate the switch for your water heater in your electrical panel and shut the power off there. Most electrical panels have dedicated switches for the water heater, so you can shut off the power without affecting the rest of your home.
