"Amazing!!! Matt and his crew were incredible from the beginning of the process till the end. This was a huge job and they spent two weeks at my home moving and replacing 4 older HVAC units to make room for my deck. The work was flawless and the guys were courteous and respectful throughout the job. I have been renovating various parts of my home for a few years and in all that time have never come across a better contractor than MAP. I have recommended them to everyone I know and if I ever have another project they can complete they will be my first and last call. 100% would recommend to anyone looking to have some HVAC work done."

"The crew were great and worked some long hours to complete the job in two days. They accomplished a lot of work in a brief period of time, and cleaned up everything once they were finished. They surpassed our expectations and we'd recommend them without reservation!"

"We worked with John Desborough (Desborough Construction) to finish our basement, including building a custom wood bar with plumbing and cabinetry, a matching wooded booth, and a half bathroom. This was a big project and it was important to us that the work was done right, so we interviewed three contractors. John stood apart from the competition. He spent a significant amount of time speaking with us to understand our goals, and offered suggestions and advice on how to accomplish our vision and improve our design. John’s proposal contained significant detail compared to others. We selected him because it was clear that John understood our goals and was capable of getting the work done right and within budget. We understood exactly what was included in the scope of work and knew there would be no surprises. John did a great job of communicating throughout the project and there were no unanticipated delays. He and the Desborough Construction team worked quickly and kept the project on track. John clearly takes a great deal of pride in his work. For example, although we didn’t specify that the bar top had to be one solid piece of wood, John knew that the bar was important to us and that a solid top would look best. To accommodate the lengthy bar top (which was constructed off-site), John cut a hole in the drywall of the basement stairway in order to get it safely down the stairs, installed the bar, and repaired the drywall during the same day. We couldn’t tell it had ever happened! Throughout the project, John went the extra mile to ensure that our expectations were exceeded and that we were extremely happy with the finished product. We feel lucky to have found Desborough Construction and John will be our first call for any future home improvement projects."

Customers say: True professional

"The main drain in the basement started backing up following several days of rain.  We had standing water in the basement, which would not budge even after we tried to snake it ourselves.  Worried that there was some major internal damage (tree roots, pipe collapse, etc.), and being without a washing machine with loads of baby clothes waiting to be washed, we contacted Dave, not expecting we would get this resolved before the weekend.  As it turned out, Dave fit us in the very next day, and even stopped by early in between jobs to get a feel for the job ahead.  He came right on time and was done in an hour, even dumping the trashcan of water next to the drain.  He gave us a discount on the normal $250 charge as an AL member.  He was quick, friendly, professional and efficient.  Everything is working great and he saved us a potentially stressful weekend spent at the laundromat with a toddler.

"Kyle was most professional and extremely knowledgeable. He was able to educate us so we could make the best decision. We had a panel installed as well as dedicated lines for a washer and dryer. We hired him to do additional work this week as well. ."

"Jake and his crew from The Ohio Basement Company did incredible work, I am so happy with the sump pump system they installed. Not only did they do a great job, they left my basement in better condition than when they found it. Washer and Dryer were leveled and the framing that had to be removed was put back in better condition. Such a nice group of guys, I highly recommend them!!"

We had a very pronounced "hump" in our kitchen floor, so bad that it felt as though you were walking up/downhill when traversing the kitchen.

We had a number of contractors come through and give us estimates and explain their approach to leveling the kitchen floor.   Unfortunately, all of their plans were similar and overly complex, as most suggested raising an entire side of the house up on jacks, adding structural beams in the crawlspace, etc) , very expensive, and some were apprehensive about attempting the job.

Adam was different.   He came to the house and assessed the situation, and took the time to talk with me about the problem.  I appreciated the collaboration.   Adam came up with a unique solution - raise the floor on both sides of the hump, bringing the entire kitchen level with the adjacent dining room on one side, brining the kitchen floor slightly higher than the adjacent hallway/front room on the other side.  Rather than introducing the complexity of manipulating the structural components of the house, his solution fit our needs (we were concerned about our budget) and turned out to be aesthetically pleasing - the step up into the kitchen has not been an issue whatsoever.

The quality of the work was very good.   Adam paid great attention to detail and his helper with the tile work did a nice job as well.

The only issue we had was that on the last day of the job, we expected Adam and team to arrive at a certain time,  though his assistant was unable to make it and Adam got held up with another task, and he was a few hours late.  However, Adam kept me informed along the way and apologized for the delays.  I was not excited about having to work from home an extra day should this have extended the project timeline by a day, and was already under a lot of stress as my wife was pregnant with our first child and the baby was due within a few days.   Adam understood our concerns and was committed to honoring his word that the project would be complete by the date he provided in the estimate.   He worked late into the night by himself sealing the tile, and thanked us for his patience.

We were very impressed by Adam's professionalism, commitment to quality, innovative approach to solving problems, and we highly recommend him to others.

Qualified, licensed electricians will charge from $50 to $100 per hour. The cost to hire an electrician for emergency visits may range from $100 to $200 per hour because this urgent service usually takes place during off hours and may require an electrician to leave or reschedule jobs they’re currently working on. Scheduling work on holidays or during periods of high customer demand, like after a major storm, will also lead to higher rates or extra fees.
