"They were very professional from the very first contact we had with them.  I had contacted them several months ago to get pricing information and an explanation of what would be done.  Steve  (the owner) provided a very thorough explanation of the process and what was involved.  When I explained to Steve that we were going to have drywall work done this past winter, he recommended that we wait until it was completed before we had the vents cleaned.  We followed his advice and scheduled the service after the other work was completed.

When the workers arrived, they very patiently explained what would be done and went through each room to verify the number and location of each vent.  During the whole process, they were very respectful of our home and didn't hesitate to answer all of our questions.

The entire process went exactly as planned.  We are very pleased with the results (I  actually asked to see what was removed!)  and we would definitely use them again.  We highly recommend this company."

"The biggest obstacle was scheduling.  The Angie's List confirmation email did not include the instruction to schedule on the Flow-Rite web site.  It took 3 or 4 emails to clarify that which delayed getting the work scheduled.
The replacement parts worked fine with the exception of some excess plastic on the valve which prevented a tight seal and thus lead to a running toilet.  It took a few minutes with the razor blade to cut the excess off and allowed the seal to form properly.  This probably should have been done by the installer.

"We used them a second time to install a furnace in our personal residence after the great experience we had with them installing a furnace in one of our rental properties. So far we have no reason to not use them again. Fantastic service and the technicians were very professional."

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

Boilers provide even heating, energy efficiency, and a quiet operation compared to forced air systems.

There are several types of home radiators, and the most common are steam heat radiators, electric radiators, and dual-fuel radiators. Steam heat radiators are connected to a boiler. Electric radiators can operate without being connected to anything else—they just need an electrical outlet. If you have a dual-fuel radiator, you’ll see a valve at the bottom of the system with a wire coming out of it and going into a wall. These are often your towel radiators in the bathroom. The type of radiator you have will impact how you turn it on.

If you go to turn it counterclockwise and it won’t turn anymore, it’s open. Like most other valves, you should be able to turn a radiator valve counterclockwise (to the left) to open it and clockwise (right) to close it. To close a radiator valve, turn it clockwise until you meet some resistance and can’t turn anymore, but do so carefully to avoid breaking the valve.

Costs depend on unit size, labor, fuel type, and whether additional piping or venting is needed.
