"We called Cincinnati Heating and Air Conditioning when we experienced uneven temperature in a rental property. They responded next day before the cold weather came in. Elliot was able to quickly identify the problem. He took the time to inform us of our options and what will be the best for our situation. He helped us to adjust the air flow to minimize the uneven temperature and to improve the comfort level without charge. We will certainly use Cincinnati HVAC for future improvement."

"Sam was very personable and educated in his field and there was no high pressure like I've had before. I will for sure have him back. This spring I expect to have him check out my AC also.
Again a professional from beginning to end ."

"I would give more stars if I could. He went out of his way to help me with my AC and my furnace. He was able to come out the same day and fix my AC. He found a good deal for the parts that I needed for my furnace, and he came back and was able to fix it as soon as he had everything that he needed. I will definitely use him for all my future needs."

"They were very professional and did outstanding work. We had done some remodeling, and have pets, and did not realize had dirty our AC ducts had gotten over time. The technician was able to show us before and after photos and the results were amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone wanting to feel better about breathing the air coming out of their vents."

"My expectations were exceeded during my furnace tune-up for the winter of 2021. My furnace is running a lot more efficient. The service technician was very professional and knowledgeable. He shared the condition of my system before and after the tune-up. I'm looking forward to lower heating bills as a result of all the adjustment made. Thank you so much Schneller and Knochelmann Plumbing, Heating, and Air!"

"Great experience from beginning to end! (From our salesman, David, to the installers, Travis & Jared). Everything was well explained & I highly recommend using Logan AC & Heat Services. We had our 24 y/o system upgraded to a high efficiency, 2 stage, Trane system. Our old 2-ton system was too small to make our 2 story home comfortable. Logan installed a 3-ton A/C unit, & had to replace some old, smaller duct work, as ours was not equipped to handle the new system properly. The install took 2 days since the duct work was needed. Overall, everyone was very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional."

"I contacted them and got a price and scheduled a date for a few days later. Their price is based on the number of registers. When they arrived it was determined that I had neglected to include the cold air return registers (7) in my count but Bob agreed to go ahead and complete the job at the agreed price. There were a total of 38 registers in my ranch home. The cost came to $679. They took approximately 3 hours to do the job."

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

You should use a breathable, weather-resistant cover with ventilation. It can be a top cover or a full cover that has mesh to allow airflow. A full, non-breathable cover can cause moisture to build up, leading to rust, frozen parts, and corrosion. A full cover also attracts unwanted critters, such as mice, that can damage the wiring and your unit. If you need to protect your AC unit from falling icicles, choose a sturdy top cover or piece of wood that prevents icicles from damaging your unit.

Unfortunately, a freon leak will persist even when your AC unit is off. The freon in the AC unit is under pressure no matter the status of the system, so it will continue to drip through the leak even when you shut off the entire unit. It will continue to leak freon until it’s completely empty.

Yes, it's normal for air conditioners to leak tiny amounts of water due to condensation. Under normal circumstances, all excess moisture travels to the drain pan to be pumped through your system's drain line. You should call a technician to diagnose the issue if you're noticing frequent leaking or pooling. It's also important to investigate if your homeowners insurance can cover water damage.

You need to know the square footage of your home first. Multiply that number by 20, which will get you the BTUs (British Thermal Units) needed to cool your home efficiently. Homes up to 1,000 square feet usually need a 1.5-ton unit; homes 1,000 to 1,200 square feet usually need a 1.75-ton unit, and homes 1,200 to 1,400 square feet usually need a 1.9-ton unit. Talk to a local pro for more specific advice on your home.

You should know the main components of an air conditioner: the condenser coils, evaporator coils, drip pan, AC filter, ducts, and refrigerant. Each part plays a key role in the performance and safety of your AC system. When tracking the source of AC issues or odors, it helps to know where to look. Your outdoor unit houses your condenser coils, fan, and compressor. Your indoor unit houses your evaporator coils, drain lines, and filter, and it connects to your ductwork.
