"Not well. The young men who came were pleasant, but inexperienced. The job was to sweep AND inspect. They said it did not need sweeping (though we later found out it did) and they asked if we wanted an outside inspection as if it were an add-on. It was raining and I guess they did not want to get wet. They then were delayed sending us a quote and when we asked for one, it was nebulous and prohibitively expensive. Four quotes later we found a company that would do the work needed and not upsell us. We paid $250 effectively for nothing."

"Super pleased! A/C broke on a weekend, during a heat wave (yuck!). Brad was able to get the issue diagnosed and fixed the same day I called. My experience with the corporate chain I previously used is they send someone out without a lot of experience who likes at it for a few minutes and then tells me I need a new AC. Brad actually talks to you about how the system is behaving, what the symptoms are, then runs some tests before telling you what’s wrong and how to fix it. Super knowledgeable. Thorough. Reasonably priced."

"Choice Comfort Services is my go to provider for HVAC, electrical and plumbing projects. This past fall my wife and I purchased a new home that needed some repairs and updating. Choice Comfort Service techs came through on multiple occasions, even in a time crunch. Some of the projects they did include but not limited to: Re-located a cold air return Replaced chandeliers and lights Installed outlets Replaced exhaust fans and faucets in bathrooms Performed preventative maintenance on furnace Inspected the air condition and discovered a part on the verge of failure. Installed a new cable run In addition, a tech brought to my attention bare electrical wires near flammable insulation in the attic that the whole inspector missed. He also took the initiative to fix. There techs are always courteous and friendly. They take great care in leaving the home as clean as they found it. Having the right size pipe ensures proper drainage and helps protect against clogs and other plumbing problems. A pipe that's too small will take longer to drain, which can result in backups. And solids can build up in pipes that are too large. Choosing a pipe with the appropriate volume also means it will be able to handle water pressure, which is the force behind the water.

Take this one seriously! If your oven smells like gas when it’s off, this is a telltale sign of a gas leak that can lead to a fire or explosion. In addition, a small leak has the potential to turn into a major leak without warning if any part of your piping or tubing breaks. Potential sources of a leak include the gas valve, burner, joint, or connection lines behind the stove. If the leak appears to be significant, you should contact the gas company or fire department.  

The effect a gas fireplace has on your gas bill will depend on how often you use it, the size of the rooms you’re heating with it, and the BTUs of the fireplace itself, but generally speaking, it should only cost a few cents an hour to run it when it’s on. It will consume minimal energy when it’s “off” if you have a pilot light running constantly, but some modern gas fireplaces don’t require a constant pilot light.

If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.
