"I have worked with these folks for 4 years. They are always professional and their work is fantastic. I have rehired them several times to clean a large rental home that we own in Hillsdale."

Customers say: Quick response

"My wife and I talked to several painters in the area but mindy stuck out to us. Back in January of this year we hired her to paint 4 rooms in our house and were very impressed. she did such an amazing job. we stayed out of the way for her and her crew to be able to get things done, we left them alone in our home that we currently live in while we were at work and were satisfied with the trust worthy people that they were. The paint looks awesome and it was so worth it. I would recommend her to anyone that wants professional painting done, and I do!. the only thing that paint by the numbers will steal is your heart, great people!"

"Bill Fry and his team did a great job painting and repairing / replacing the exterior of my home. The Fry proposal that I was provided was hands down the best proposal I received. The proposal not only met our needs in terms of cost but also in terms of a high quality, time-line committed and responsive solution. At each phase Bill Fry and his team consistently worked to insure that they were meeting our expectations and timing requirements. I can strongly recommend Fry Painting and Restoration especially if you are looking for a high quality competitive and cost effective proposal that is backed by a committed and customer driven mentality."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

Professionals may use a variety of methods to remove old paint from surfaces, often depending on the size and complexity of the surface. Paint scraping in combination with a chemical paint stripper is the most common method, but experts might also use heat or steam to loosen everything before peeling the paint off. Some might just sand off the old paint if the surface is relatively flat and easily accessible.

The easiest way to remove window decals is to soak the area in hot, soapy water. Let it sit for 15 minutes before scraping it with a plastic scraper or the edge of a credit card. You can also remove window decals with white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, or applying heat from a hairdryer or steam cleaner.

If your home was built before 1978, there’s a chance that any paint on your hardwood floors could be lead paint—especially if it was already there when you moved in. Because lead is toxic, hiring a licensed pro to remove it is mandatory. The average price for professional lead paint removal ranges from $1,500 to $5,300 and depends on the scope of the project.

Costs depend on paint type, surface condition, labor, and required prep work for repainting.

Costs range from $2 to $7 per square foot, depending on surface type, paint layers, and removal method.
