"Chris with Friesen Family Renovations, LLC was very professional and thorough in the work he has completed. He installed a new screen door, replaced my tub stem and faucet, repaired my subfloor in the kitchen and installed brand new LVP flooring to replace old and water damaged flooring. He also mounted a television for me, and did some drywall repairs as well. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for quality and dependable work!"

"Antone & Brenda still continue to exceed my expectations. As a plumbing business owner, at times, we need to access plumbing through drywall & plaster and we like to recommend a professional to complete repairs. Finally, after 30 years, I found a competent crew who is experienced, clean, pays close attention to detail and respects the customer and their home. This is huge! Lobos Whitewalls has definitely separated itself from other drywall contractors. I continue to use Antone & Brenda on several projects and they will always be my first recommendation to anyone needing this type of work. Great job Antone & Brenda!!"

Small jobs welcome

"Kirty did a major structural repair at my home. He provided a detailed scope of work with his estimate, was always on time, did a great job, and cleaned up the worksite. His price was very reasonable and he is very easy o work with. He is a two-tour veteran, serving in the Second Gulf war."

"We were caught completely off guard by the amount of damage concealed behind our existing siding, and do the cost of completion at this time exceeded our budget. Also, what was viewed as a patch job has turned out to be a major repair/remodel. Jake was great at dealing with this on the fly, but I won't be able to give a full (possibly 5-star) assessment until we complete the entire project, probably next spring. My current 4-star rating may well be colored by the disappointment (almost despair) I experienced when we discovered the insect damage and broke our budget."

Plaster Repair questions, answered by experts

Repairs typically take 2-4 hours for small areas. Larger or more complex repairs may require additional time.

Venetian plaster is a highly durable wall finish that becomes a rock-like substance once dried, making it last longer than most other wall finishes. Its lifespan can range from decades to centuries, potentially lasting a lifetime. Key factors influencing its longevity include the quality of the initial application, whether it's properly sealed against moisture, and how the wall is maintained and treated (e.g., how often it is touched or bumped). Due to its mineral content, it can also develop a patina over time.

You can repair plaster ceilings yourself after the cause of the ceiling damage has been addressed. However, the repair can easily take 5 hours and can be slightly challenging for those without previous experience. If you do decide to flex your DIY muscle, have a helper to help hold the ladder and pass you the tools for safety purposes.

Ceiling-mounted curtains won’t damage the ceiling if they’re installed properly. Using the right anchors or securing the brackets into joists will ensure the curtain weight is properly supported and prevent damage. However, overtightening screws, using weak anchors, or repeatedly removing and reinstalling hardware in the same spot can cause cracking or sagging over time. In that case, you might have to call a pro for ceiling repair.

Smaller is better when patching holes with spackle. Any holes wider than four to six inches in diameter tend to be too wide to repair with spackle alone. You'll likely want to patch bigger holes with a drywall panel.

Even holes measuring up to 6 inches may be challenging to fill with spackle alone. For best results, purchase a wall repair patch made from wire mesh. Cut the patch to fit over the hole, then use the spackle to hold it in place. Apply the spackle over the patch as you would for a smaller hole.
