"Pope was very friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough when he came to my house to spray for bugs. It has been a couple of weeks since he has been here and I have not seen any bugs!! He did an excellent job and I would recommend Expert Pets Control to anyone looking for an exterminator."

Customers say: True professional

"I think this company did a great job. Very thorough and did not try to persuade me to go with a monthly maintenance plan like Greenex did. I will contact them for any other issues I may have in the future. Thank you for recommending this pro. The service technician explained the procedures he was going to follow and was very personable. Again, great job Deonte."

Pest Control questions, answered by experts

Bleach, which can kill drain flies, can also kill fruit flies, but it’s better to lure fruit flies to a liquid rather than applying chemicals, as it’s very difficult to reach them all. A more practical approach is to lure fruit flies with traps made from liquids like apple cider vinegar mixed with dish soap. This method is safer and more efficient, since it targets a larger number of fruit flies without relying on harsh chemicals that may not reach all the pests.

The cost to hire a pest control specialist varies depending on the type of infestation. For example, the cost to exterminate spiders averages from $100 to $300. Other pest control costs include:

  • Cockroaches: $100–$600

  • Fleas: $150–$400

  • Rodents: $180–$600

  • Wasps: $100–$1,300

  • Mosquitos: $70–$500

  • Bats: $230–$700

  • Beehives: $75–$1,500

No, ground bees are not detrimental to the health of your lawn. In fact, the small holes created by ground bees can actually offer beneficial aeration which moisturizes and nourishes the ground. Additionally, ground bees are highly regarded as vital pollinators, meaning they help plants to reproduce. Unless you’re battling a severe infestation, leaving ground bees undisturbed can boost the health of your yard and the environment.

Raccoons are primarily crepuscular and nocturnal, meaning they are most active at dawn, dusk, and throughout the night. While less common, they may come out during the day to find food, especially in warm months or during the spring birthing season (April and May) when caring for their young. Seasonally, raccoons are active year-round and do not truly hibernate. However, during periods of severe cold, they will often remain in their dens for extended periods.

Raccoons may sometimes leave a property on their own, but this is not guaranteed. For a persistent raccoon infestation, it is advisable to take measures for trapping and removal. After they have been removed, it is important to seal any potential entry points to prevent their return.
