"Don and his installers did a great job. I had several companies come out to see our pantry/broom closet situation (two very deep closets side by side in a 1920s house with poor storage) and Don's design was superior to all the others. He was the only one to suggest swapping the closets so the pantry would be larger (it seems so obvious now, but no one else suggested it!) Don was easy to work with and his installers were neat, pleasant and professional. The price was neither the highest nor the lowest we received- it was well within reason for the job that was done. It was a pleasure to work with Don- I give him and Closettec my highest recommendation.

"Bob Thompson (Owner) did a great job tuck pointing my chimney. He also tuck pointed several areas around the house that I pointed out to him and he also tuck pointed other areas that he saw needing this work done. Bob is very professional. He called me prior to beginning the job to let me know the date and time that he would start. Once he started, he provided me with pictures inside the chimney to show the current condition. In addition to tuck pointing the chimney, he applied a acid wash to clean the effervescence that had built up. He also applied a sealer to the chimney. It took him two days to complete the job. He also corrected me from overpaying him based on our contract. He's a good guy, hard working and very honest. I would definitely recommend him to others."

"I got my cabinets painted. Very professional, detailed, honest, fair and hardworking company. I am very picky! They were fabulous and you cannot go wrong with them handling your interior/exterior needs. I am very happy with how it turned out!!! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for these services. "Called Bob Calabrese for an estimate.  A few days later he came to our home to view the work and then he emailed me a detailed estimate.  I replied with questions which he responded to promptly.  We agreed on a date to complete the work and he was at our house on time as promised.  They finished the job in less than a day, cleaned up the work area nicely and were gone.  It was seven months ago that he performed this job and I know I made the right decision to have Bob do the work.  No issues and the floor is solid as a rock!"

Gazebos questions, answered by experts

On average, building or installing a gazebo costs around $5,700, with a typical range between $3,000 and $10,000. The final price depends on several factors, including the gazebo's size, shape, material, and design complexity. Material choice is a significant cost driver; for example, brick is often more affordable, while metal can be one of the more expensive options. Square-shaped gazebos can also be more expensive to build. Custom features, such as built-in seating or lighting, will increase the total price. You may be able to save money by purchasing a prefabricated gazebo kit or performing some of the labor yourself.

Several types of porches are available to meet your needs and style preferences. Some common porch types include:

  • Porticos are essentially a roof over a walkway leading to the home's front entrance.

  • Sunrooms are closed-in porches that are an extension of the house with glass or plastic panels that allow optimal sunlight.

  • Wraparound porches extend around the entire home, or at least the front and one side, and offer multiple entrances to the house.

  • Back porches are an extension of the home’s floor into the outdoors. These offer more protection and privacy than a deck.

Yes, many gazebos are permanent structures built onto the land. However, if you have a portable gazebo that isn’t secured to the ground, you’ll want to check the manufacturer’s instructions to understand when to put it away. Generally speaking, when it’s particularly windy or wet outside, you should take down your temporary gazebo.

Porticos last 25 to 60 years, depending on the material used. A portico’s roof typically matches the roof of the rest of the home and can be replaced simultaneously. Portico columns have a similar life span if properly maintained and regularly sealed. In some areas, harsh weather and extreme temperatures may cause a portico to wear more quickly.

Using concrete footers is the best way to secure a gazebo on a deck without drilling. The weight of the footers is more likely to hold your gazebo in place than other methods. You can also pour concrete into flower pots to create an aesthetically pleasing concrete footer or use concrete columns to make a statement.
